This is my Beast. I bought this 1987 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic on Ebay in November of 2003;I had always wanted one. Previously I owned a 2wd 1984 Chevy Silverado, which I miss to this day...it was, as I have found out, considerably low maintenance, as compared to this hefty ride. It is a lot of fun-I enjoy its throaty exhaust and all of the power options, and I revel in knowing that I am the second owner-can you believe it?! I have the papers to prove it.
-It has a rebuilt tranny and 350 engine (this work was done before I purchased it), and I have also replaced the starter, heater core, ignition switch, distributor cap, power window motors, battery, and I had the driver and passenger windows tinted to match the factory tint on the rear. I keep up with oil changes (chevron synthetic blend to keep my beast healthy) and check all fluids atleast biweekly.
-New U-joints, along with complete suspension and transfer case service completed a month ago. I've never been off-road with this baby.
