Trunk-relocated Optima gel cel battery, 1959 Thunderbird 9" rear housing, 3.10:1 gears with detroit locker carrier. Rear drum brakes are 11" x 2.5" Transmission is a Dynamic "Mighty Mite" 3-speed C4 fully-rollerized race unit built to handle a max of 850hp and running a 5000 RPM-stall converter. Reverse manual valve body connected to a B&M ratchet shifter allows complete control of transmission shift points. Radiator is a custom Fluidyne racing unit equipped with dual Mr. Gasket electric cooling fans.

I swapped out the 4.10 gearset that was in the car because the deep gearing was useless without racing slicks, and since this is a "street car", I run street radials. With the 3.10 gears now installed in the car, the top speed is a theoretical 209 mph at 8500 rpm. Hah.
