Question: The color is chosen, but should I put a mural of Roger Rabbit and Jessica on the backs doors ina compromising position? (Not too graphic tho)

Sorry to say, but I had to sell my baby due to no time to finish her off. It's not a $$$ shortage.... just no time and can't stand to see her sit there and gather dust.
Check out my GTA page and see why I've been tooo busy...

Hey ya'll, please sign the guest book. I'd like to know that my van is being looked at .... not just passed by ok? Here are a few pics of my 1976 Chevy Van. It's all tricked out inside... carpeted and diamond-tuffed with a pull down bench/bed and an ice box. It has pimp lights hidden in behind wood mouldings around the top edges and pot lights in the center. Captain chairs in the front of course. I will be runnning it down the strip at Race City (Calgary) soon and will have all the times and tech info. It does however have a 350 4bbl and a TH400 tranny. It launches off the line and the 295/50/15's on the back hook up real quick.

The other side....... More to come... Keep an eye on this page for all the pics as I do more work... and the "before" pics too!!!!

This is the ORIGINAL decal from the dealer which should have been removed by them. It shows that everything that my van has came stock right off the dealer lot. There is also the original dealer decal under the hood also (it's too small to see clearly) and has the name of the sellers lot.

The new Cordovan tires that I just had installed last week (end of July). They cost me a little over $500..... but the actual cost should have been almost $900. (Helps that I drive a towtruck for a living and have some great contacts now.. LOL) Also.. these are the original ET rim's that came with the van. They are aluminum ET's and are pretty hard to come by. If any of ya'll happen to have one... I could use a matching spare.

Inside shot of the van with the cooler and closet showing. The little guy (Rylee) will tell ya this is HIS van... not Dad's.....

Front open shot. If you look real close at the center-left side of the open hood... you will see the small dealer name decal that I was talking about. It's too bad I can't get a clear enough pic of it yet.

More pics to come soon...... Paint is prolly the next step. I just picked up another 350 4bbl engine to beef up for show.

Just a pic of some of the rides that I'm around every weekend at Race City in Calgary. There's a pile of pro-street rides also but I won't make ya'll drool. Hey; please sign my guest book also 'k?
Ok updating... Sept 7/04 The van is in the primer stages now.... will get some pics of the start of the paint real soon.... Keep on Vannin'
P.S. I was gonna try to get the personal plate "shgnwgn" but I have a new plate and actually no-one has it so I have it registered now "DNTBNKN" Tell me if ya know what it means k??

Just a pro-street Monte that runs at Race City and is one f*&!!ing fast Monte

Updating again.... Sept.20/04
I took the van to Race City to time it on the strip..... however the Shaggin' Wagon does some kickin' burnouts!!!!! It's now in the garage for pretty much the rest of the year. The grill, bumpers and most of the chrome will be removed, fixed and re-dipped. Hopefully the paint will be done by the end of the year.
01/07/05 Found me another Chev van with most of the chrome parts I wanted; only took 6 months of searching. The grille will be anodized purple as will the bumpers (I think). I am right in the middle of the prep for paint and will be taking lots more pics now. Keep an eye open and HAPPY NEW YEAR ya'll.
05/26/05 Right in the middle of changing the 2 bbl to a 4 bbl and looking for a gear-set of 342 ratio. (It'll be hard to find that gear-set). I've got the color of purple now for the van and will make a sample of it and get a pic to show ya'll. It's been a little hectic so the progress has been slow comming. I got some pics of the van on the strip doing some smoke shows and they'll be on the page soon.
06/27/05 Well I got the new 4 bbl carb onto the beast... and now it runs like it has a huge lumpy cam. I had a bit of a mishap with the last 4bbl carb that I put on. The original is being rebuilt and I put on a carb from a late 80's pick-up. Long story short; the throttle locked WIDE open and I wound up looking at the drag tower sideways and just about didn't get the van back under control. Thought I fix'd it and tried again. Just as the tree came down to green and I loaded up the throttle, it stuck wide open again and I spun tires almost the whole length of the 1/4 mile. I shut it off just before the stripe; still beat the pick-up I was racing and managed a pathetic (wheels still smoking) 75mph with a .016 reaction time. LMAO There are some kick ass pics of the smoke shows going to be shown on the page soon so keep tuned. This Friday (weather permitting) I will be running it again (this time with a NEW 4bbl carb) and will let ya'll know how she did. BTW... the body-work is almost done so the paint will be on before the end of summer.
July 26/05. NEW PICS!!!!!!!!! and smokin' to boot!!!

Got her out on the strip at Race City with the new 4 bbl carb (this one works; the last one put me sideways looking at the tower when it broke and locked the throttle WIDE OPEN). I can break the boots loose (295/50/15's) at 1800 rpm.

Approx 2500 rpm and she's just starting to warm them up......

3/4 throttle and she's baking them pretty good. I have to back out of it or I'll be pulling a "big boys" burn and backin back up to the tree.

It's cooled off about 8 degree's Celcius and now the Shaggin' Wagon's purring. I think it looks better at night smokin' 'em. However ya can't see the neon glow from the under-carriage tubes that glow purple.

Bring them up to temp......

SMOKIN...................

She's finally primed and almost ready for paint. She will be a very dark metallic purple with a blue pearl in it. I'm using PPG paint (cause I gots a friens that gets me a screamin!!!! deal on the cost of the paint) and it hopefully wil be painted ($$$ permitting) be the end of August.
Keep on checkin' back for more and new pics....

New update. I got my garage broken into about 2 months ago now. Instead of just pulling the cd player out of the dash; the little ^%$#*ers smashed the dash with one of my hammers to get it out. Countless hours of searching Ebay, every frikkin' auto wreckers here in western Canada and buddies in the States searching the West Coast; so far no luck in finding a dash ion decent condition. The problem is, is that the van is completely original ('cept for the stereo) and I don't want to modify the dash where the HUGE gaping hole is. The insurance claim is still open, the prosecuters (yes they caught the little $#^&*ers, thank god it was the cops and not me catching them) have put a price tag of $5000 of restition on the repairs becuase it is looking not possible to get it back to original. If anyone has a dash (med/light blue) I'd be willing to pay some $$$$ to get it here undamaged.

April 1 2007. It's been a few looooooong months and been pouring most of my $$$$ into my 1987 Pontiac GTA (page comming soon).

All I've managed to do lately is design the new centre piece for the dash that was destroyed by the little ****ers that broke into my garage and start making it. It's gonna be a bit harder than I thought. And with the racing season about to start, I'm gonna be a bit short of time. I have also picked up a 1981 Charger 2.2 RAGTOP ("pony" conversion by AHA conversions out of Ontario) and it's a "1 of a kind" so I have been paying more attention to that car more than anything else. Hopefully I'll have some new stuff for the van soon, so keep an eye on here. Happy Vannin' ya'll!!!!

Well as all things go... there is an end to everything. With everything that I have on the go, I've been pretty much forced to sell my girl. I can't just have her sitting there wasting away while everything else keeps my attention. I got a damn good $$$ for her and I'm pretty sure the new owner will treat her as well as I did. However...!! on the upside; while surfing utube recently, I found a video that actually has my van running up the strip on a show run. I wasn't pushing her hard at all, just passing to show her off as almost everyone laffed and cheered when I'd run her at the track for a show. The biggest part (and not caught on video dammit) of her show is the wicked burnouts that she'd pull off the water box. If ya wanna see it... go to

YouTube @ RaceCity
The video is a little grainy but allright I guess..........
(insert sad music here and bow yer heads......)
