Got the motor fired and the cam broken in!! Also found out if you waaay retard the timing, your headers glow! Still have some carb tuning and timing issues to sort out, as well as a few electrical demons but all in all she's living. Once i get those worked out it's rear axle and suspension time (finally)!
This is her. A 1979 Camaro Berlinetta. All work with the exception of the short block has been done by myself and a few friends.
This all started in February of 2004 when i first got this thing. A shady paint job was covering up tons of body rot which (through many dust masks, rivets, welding spools and beers) is finally all taken care of. The wimpy 305 has been replaced, so has 50% of the interior, rim/tires, fuel cell, fiberglass body components, new chassis toys and other fun stuff.
