I posted a message saying the car was great looking but obviously a faleen. I've owned two of them and am a member of the Saleen club of America, so I think I know what I'm talking about. I listed the reasons it wasn't real, but of course he deleted it. Thing is, I have no problem with clones, and his is a great looking car, but to lie and say its something its not is just lame. There's a lot of that on this site though. Good luck with buying a Saleen. Its a buyers market right now for sure so you can get a really great deal. Oh, and I'm in south Orange county, about an hour north of San Diego. Great city though. The gas lamp district rocks.

Hey, thanks for checking out my car. And thanks for calling it like it is with the fake mystic 04. The car is obviously fake, doesn't have the c-pillar is most of the pics (and when it does its painted - lol yeah saleen did that), doesn't have the correct wing, doesn't show any plaques, too much wheel gap in the front. I really hate when people try to say their clone is really. Guess I'm a hater then too, huh?

Not only is his Saleen fake, but his Blackbird is fake also, as you can see in these post from ohiocustoms3:

09/13/2005, 09:47pmI like the ride, and I like that you tried to make a real Blackbird. Wrong exhaust manifold, wrong stripe color, and the list goes on. No doubt the car is good looking though. I have dealt with GMMG for a long time and #21 is a black car.

I like the fact that the gauges are not on in one pic, and they should be white not silver. the number on the corner of the windshelid is the wrong color, same with the rear view mirror. You could never get the factory wheels as they all came to the dealer with the torque thrust D's painted.

So much is wrong. i think it is great to try (and I loosely say try) to clone a car but drag its name to the ground and mess it up for the real guys. The BB had 380 HP to the wheels. looking at that car it would be amazing to have 380 at the fly...

This page is dedicated to how to spot a fake Saleen Mustang. If you look at Scott C's cloned Saleen, (04Mysticsaleen) you can see that he has a 2001 Saleen wing on a "2004" car. This is the first sign that his car is a fake. You can also tell because he does not have those little black flaps on the rear passenger windows that all true Saleens have. Also, notice how the wheels on the Saleen clone are smaller than the real Saleen. The paint on the real Saleen is also much more vibrant than the clone's colors. It is not a big deal that his car is a clone, what matters is that 04mysticsaleen is a liar and a poser and if he is lying about that he is probably lying about everything he claims to own. If you want to know what I drive, I drive a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I hope to someday own a Saleen myself, they are the baddest cars ever built!! Just got this email from the Saleen company themselves. This proves once and for all that Scott does not own a Saleen Mystic because they did not make them in 2004. Also, even the Saleen company themselves says that his car is a clone. Here it is:

I don't believe we did a Rainbow Extreme colored car in 2004. That being
said, that car on the link below is not a 2004. At least the Saleen body
components are not 2004. Without knowing the VIN# of the car there is no
easy way to verify is authenticity based on the pictures provided but my
guess is that it is a clone.
