My new wheels have arrived, I have been wanting to install larger brakes and change the rear drums to disc brakes. After looking at the options I found that I was limited by my 16" wheels. I decided to replace them with 17" wheels and liked these Wheel Vintique billet Magnum 500 wheels more others. I purchased 17 x 8, in the front I used a 4 1/2 backspacing, in the rear I went to 4 3/4. I chose Bridgestone RE01-R tires, and 235/45 fit in all four corners without and rubbing at all.

Here is my Hertz Clone, I couldn't bring myself to remove the vents and install the small plastic windows.

I finally was able to install the Ring Brothers hood hinges. They really dress up the underhood area and look great. I do have one negative comment or observation, the does not open as far as it did before. The gas cylinders length limits how far the hood car rise. It will open further if the connection at the front of the cylinder is popped off.

I have installed a Pony interior and a Moto Lita steering wheel. A recent modification was the installation of a JME billet instrument cluster. I used the six gauge unit so I could install an in the dash tachometer instead of using the dash top Shelby style. I used the Autometer Cobalt series electric gauges, these have 270 degree sweep for all of the gauges, the blue lighting of the gauge is pretty close to that of the factory radio in the dash.
