OOOOH A new BOSS Mustang on the way?! Let's hope so :D
S197 BOSS MUSTANG
My bro jus borrowed the wickedest movie! If you haven't heard of this movie, FIND IT AND RENT IT OR BUY IT! Initial D! I jus bought the Special Edition 2disc dvd Dolby Digital EX/dts ES Widescreen! If you like imports/racing/driving/drifting....this movie kills the cheesey fast&the furious. Its based originally on the anime/manga cartoon/comic book. But it has Real Japan Spec cars(Skyline, EVO, Silvia, Trueno, RX-7 FC) driving and drifting on Real Roads.
The main character(Takumi) a delivery boy for his father(a renowned racer) that delivers tofu every early morning thru Mt. Akina in his fathers AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno(AKA Toyota Corolla GTS from mid '80s). While bored of delivering tofu for years, he masters the art of drifting. The best part, is that Street Racing/Drifting teams, Amateurs/Professionals, driving Skylines, RX-7 Turbo II and EVOs dominate the streets on the same Mt. Akina searching for new races, which Takumi gets caught up in, and thats when the fun really starts!
INITIAL D THE MOVIE
ADDED NEW/MORE PICS OF MY RIDE! Custom ordered 2005 Mineral Grey GT, V8, Dark Charcoal cloth int, 5spd man, stock Torq Thrust/Bullitt rims, only option is the IUP.
There is also a pic of my brother's Mercury Marauder slightly viewable. The day I took delivery of the car, I drove it straight to the Graphics/Decal shop. The stripe design is inspired almost exactly by the 1970 BOSS 302 Mustang&a pic of an actual '05 Mustang Race car with a replica paint scheme from 1970 Parnelli Jones' old BOSS 302 racer[SUPER ROD magazine March 2005] I had to adjust the angles of the hood/down-side stripe of the original BOSS 302 to match the angles of the '05 body design. I think it looks good, kinda wanted that late 60's racer design/"goin fast just sitting still."
The only differences from my "BOSS inspired tribute scheme," to being exact from the 1970 BOSS 302 Mustang.... is the the middle black-out stripe on the hood, is missing the double pinstripe surrounding it like the angled stripes. The BOSS decal is "cut-out in the stripe" and the GT emblem is exposed, while on the orignal, the BOSS symbol is exposed and the 302 is "cut-out." The lower rocker stripe on the side, doesn't extend all the way to the rear quarter panel/bumper. The rear blackout between the tailights, actually extends to and around the rear tailights&I guess the decal guys didn't remove the rear round GT emblem, so they cut the vinyl around it. There's also an accent pin-striping surrounding the rear tailights valance. And finally, the rear wing on 70's Mach 1 Mustangs&BOSS Mustangs are entirely painted black and the rear deck lid was blacked-out. Ugh, I'm missing the cool front lip-spoiler. AND IM MISSING A SHAKER HOOD&REAR WINDOW SLATS! But I think there are aftermarket ones u can buy already?! Which, I'm not going too.
fyi: The original 1970 "BOSS" 302 name and stripe/spoiler design were conceived by Larry Shinoda(RIP)! BIG THANX :)
BOSS History
Check out this link for the fastest/rarest/wildest BOSS Mustangs. Great stories and pics.
The History of....Best Of The Bosses
There are sooo many 05 Stangs running around here with Shelby Racing Stripes AND lower side rocker stripes. Most saying Mustang GT and one I saw that put GT 350R in it. It looked sweet. I think a Ford dealer here went Crazy on the Shelby Stripes, because there's lots of GT&V6 Stangs with the same Stripe Design. They all look good tho.
The only mods I have done to my car is an SCT XCal 1(Alternative Auto Performance Tune) Re-flash/computer chip, stock emmissions filter removal and an axle back Flowmaster exhaust. I'm considering NOS....?
Thanx for checkin out my ride, the pics of the Ranger are pics of my old ride. Although, I've transfered THE CROW theme to the Stang! :D
"Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times. And a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being, that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."
-BRANDON LEE, LAST ON-CAMERA INTERVIEW, FILMED JUST DAYS PRIOR TO HIS TRAGIC DEATH, THE CROW.
"The mind escapes into knowledge, into theories, hopes, imagination; and this very knowledge is a hindrance...To know is to be Ignorant; not to know is the beginning of Wisdom. It is through self-knowledge that Truth is discovered, but there is no path or formula for its discovery. You must set out to discover yourself..."
-JIDDU KRISHNAMURTI, TOTAL FREEDOM: THE ESSENTIAL KRISHNAMURTI.
"Unable to put his energy to use physically, Lee[Bruce] now channels it mentally. The writings of the Buddha, Alan Watts, Carl Rogers, Lao-Tse, Frederick Perls, Daisetz Suzuki and Jiddu Krishnamurti become his constant companions...I believe that part of the concept that he[Bruce Lee] enjoyed so much about Krishnamurti`s philosophy was one of self-reliance. And if you`re looking for truth, you must look inward, rather than outward."
-BRUCE LEE: A WARRIOR'S JOURNEY.

THIS IS Y I LOVE MUSCLECARS! Here r some pics I scanned of my Dad's 1972 Aztec Gold(?) Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible 350cu.in. automatic. The little badge on the lower side rocker panel says 350! I know its only a 350, but its still a MUSCLECAR :) He bought it at a local Pontiac dealer in '72, it also was the showroom model car! SOORRY bout the pic quality, they're the only pics of my dad's car from 1972! And there is no Rear/Tail pics of the car. :(
"Pontiac didn't make any convertible GTOs in 1972. They would not let you select the GTO option on the LeMans Sport convertible in 1972, but you could select the $41 GTO nose job! There were 163 of these created. For the $41 you got the GTO endura bumper, hood, and front fenders! The GTO was an option on the LeMans Sport in 1972. You cannot tell a LeMans Sport from a GTO optioned LeMans sport from the VIN. So this IS about the closest thing to a 1972 GTO convertible you could get."
I got this info and car color from The Ultimate Pontiac GTO Picture Site. If you scroll down, the 4th pic/description from the top, page 14.
Ultimate GTO
My dad standing by his ride in the snow! He bought his car in feb. This is a pic, b4 he painted the hood and trunklid white. The pics I have here don't show the white painted trunklid. The red car behind, is my dad's friend Sam's, 1970 Dodge Charger R/T HEMI(?)!!!! :O
Close up of the GTO endura front bumper/ram-air hood/custom white painted hood!

My mom is on the left(yellow), and my mom's friend(don't remember who that is?)
My mom on right(white), and no clue who that is! Hmmmm Gravel Road!? Apparently, my dad wrecked/rolled his car going 120miles on a gravel road and rolled it 3times! Written off, damaged $4,500, he paid $5,100 for the car new.
