bad_72_ss's 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle

This is my 1972 Chevelle SS. I've had this car for almost 5 years now and I've done almost all the work myself. I got this car when I was 14 years old, it was a burnt looking hugger orange with 15x8 cragar SS wheels. It had #'s matching motor and rear end, but as for the tranny some one replaced the munice 4 speed with a sagnaw 3 speed.(can we say weak and crappy)

I'm now running a muncie M20 4 speed.(much stronger and closer to factory specs)

well the first thing I did was take it to the body shop, where I had two new Good mark full quarters installed and had the car painted. After my baby was returned to me from the body shop, I started work on the inside. I replace both front and rear seat covers, replaced the carpet and added a new head liner

I also ended up getting a new hurst comp plus shifter( The other one was just wore out)As for the inside that's about all I've done to her.

Well now on to the wheels.. yes the cragar SS were pretty cool but really badly pitted and rusty. So I ended up taking the wheels off of my 71'SS (it's next in line to be fixed up) and spending like two days buffing the build up off them. I have no clue what kind they are, just that they are probably as old as the car its self. But I think they look pretty good once they are polished.(I'm planing on American Racing Torq-Thrust II's, yes I know everyone and there brother have these wheels but I like them and they look good)

About a year ago I decided I need more Hp. So a new motor was a must, and I also decided since the I'd have the front clip off the car I should go ahead and replace all the bushing and work on the suspension. So all body bushings and A-arms bushing were replaced. I replaced the stock springs with Eibach lowering springs and the (dead) stock shocks with Edelbrock IAS shocks. It looks, rides and feels so much better now.

The motor is a 350 c.i.d block, cast iron 64cc heads.(soon to be aluminum)comp cam, aluminum dual plane intake and 750 cfm demon carb. I'm running hooker header and flowmaster 40 series mufflers.
