About Me First and foremost I am a Technical/Scientific Illustrator. Here is my online GALLERY for an example of some of my work. I have been airbrushing for a little while now and I have just recently taken up the art of pin striping. I am quite excited to do the paint on this car, but I must wait until I finish all the restorations and complete the engine swap.
Here is a drawing I made of where I would like to go with this vehicle.
The Car at Present
Car History:Below are some comparison photos of what the car looked like when I bought it and how it looks at present. It was looking pretty sad,but the engine has been taken care of well, it has about 160 psi of compression in all cylinders, and is remarkably clean inside. It only has the F2 N/A 2.2L SOHC 12 valve in her, but I've freed up the intake and exhaust a bit so it is still sufficiently peppy. Currently it has about 321 000 km's on it, but she still doesn't use any oil and aside from some periodic lifter noise, she runs like a charm.
I have acquired a 88'MX6 Turbo, which is my donor car for a lot of projects.
I redid the entire interior of the car in Black crushedvelvet. Now it is a mix of black, grey and silver inside the vehicle.
Upgrades- Complete Body Restoration - All new struts & Intrax Lowering Springs - Link kit, both front axles, Ball Joints - Rear cross member - Tires & 17 Futura5 Rims - Brakes(Rear Disk break conversion) - Headlights(taken from 88' turbo edition) - 2.5" exhaust with Ractive Muffler - Replaced windshield and Tinted windows 35%/20%/5%
Engine Swap So my plans for the Fe3 swap have been permanently abandoned, however I am in the process of swapping a F2T into the car instead. Unfortunately I need to find a new tranny or rebuild the one i have. Curse of the fragile roll pin!!!! Contact me if you have any leads on a transmission, please.
Future Projects- Engine Swap- Paint Remaining Body Panels

Hey I notice your looking for a transmission. Want a whole car and parts with it? I have my car just sitting around taking up space in the backyard. Pretty sure the tranny just needs a clutch. Let me know
Hey there, yeah I noticed you had a new ride and I actually saw it while I was in town last month. What happened to the mx6? I might be interested, I really just need the transmission ,as i already have another car for parts. I could be tempted depending on what you want for it. What kind of mileage does the tranny have on it?
how much did you spend on the paint job,the wheels, and the chrome outline on the lights..?
The wheels cost about $1200 with rubber mounted and balanced. As or the Paint job, it was done at home so it only cost me supplies(maybe $500 after all was said and done.) The outlines were done by yours truly with some chrome paint and a steady brush. Thanks for stopping bye!
Very nice :) Can't wait to see what you do considering you are an artist!! 5 stars
DOHC!!!! Good call. The old SOHC was very restrictive for power, even with a turbo. But very very clean MX6
5 stars very well done i like how u chromed dat rear window trim and the trim on the tail lights check mine out.
