The Greatest Driving Songs of All Time!!!
Ok... here's my only contribution to getting you a speeding ticket! Here's my pick of the greatest driving music geared to get you speeding down the road and have your head bobbin while you do it!
Pay no attention to the latest driving music on the Cardomain Blog. Them boys wouldn't know driving music if it landed in their ears at 95 decibels!
Driving music shouldn't be the kind of music you like to listen to. I hear enough of that everyday in my CD player. Drivin music is meant to get you heart a pumping, your toe a tappin, and your speed (or at least you attitude if you're stuck in traffic) way past the posted limits.
Hell! This stuff is even good to roll your windows down in traffic and irritate those around you!
I can only get seventeen songs on a regular CD but I'll list my top twenty hits of all time!
So here we go! The top twenty drivin songs for all time. Don't bother sending your tickets to me either!
NUMBER ONE:
Sammy Hagar - I Can't Drive 55
Sammy hit it right on the head and he deserves the Number One spot. Find someone to mix in a few whailing sirens as background (I have) and you've got a keeper!
NUMBER TWO:
George Thorgood & the Destoyers - Bad to the Bone
Good 'ole George! If you ever needed an attitude fix, this is the song for you. Just don't play it for the cop that pulls you over!
NUMBER THREE:
ZZ Top - Gimme All Your Lovin
It ain't a road trip without ZZ Top. This Texas band makes any music sound like it was made for the road! If you get pulled over, you might crank this song up for the cop.
NUMBER FOUR:
ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man
So you're not a ZZ Top fan? That cop that pulled you over most likely is and he IS a sharp dressed man. Might as well improve his attitude before he hands you that 85 in 55 ticket!
NUMBER FIVE:
Joe Santriani - Flying in a Blue Dream
If you've never heard Santriani play, you're in for a treat. This is the ultimate cruising music for those mountain roads with tight twisties! Play this one LOUD!
NUMBER SIX:
50 Cent Vs. Bee Gees (Mashup) - Stayin Alive Vs. It's Your Birthday
If you haven't caught on to the current status of Mashups, it's combining two songs together. This one (IF you can find it!) brings a twist to the old Bee Gees standard. This one is for putting your gansta lean on and tooling down the road. Backward hat is optional.
NUMBER SEVEN:
Bon Jovi - Wanted Dead or Alive
You know we had to have a rocker in here someplace! If you're pushing 300 horses or more to your wheels, this somg is your anthem... "I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride. I'm wanted... dead or alive". Interesting note, also look for versions performed by Chris Daughtry and Montgomery Gentry. They are just as awesome as Bon Jovi's original!
NUMBER EIGHT:
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
Here's the anthem for those muscle car lovers from the 1980's! Bruce ties it up all nice and neat in a song that has gone down in history as one song that covers it all for a gear head!
NUMBER NINE:
Golden Earring - Radar Love
From the '70's, this band gave us Twilight Zone and a true driving song... Radar Love. This song goes well on long drives at night. Roll the windows down and sing along with this one!
STAY TUNED! There will be more coming!
