This is my dream. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of salvaging a 57 Chevy and restoring it. Now, at age 31, the finance dept.(my wife) has let me set out to make it all happen!

Pulling up to my house. What a sight!
Bought the car from a guy who had the car for about a year and had not had an opportunity to work on it. He also had a 57 2DR Post, but it was crushed by a tree during hurricane Fran a couple of years ago. Luckily, he had stripped it of all parts and gave them to me with this Hardtop. Some items won't fit so I'll end up selling them. The previous-previous owner had already done some minor body work and priming. Overall, it was in good shape for a platform for my first shot at a restoration.

The drivetrain (283 Power Pack with Powerglide) was already ripped out when I bought her. I'll rebuild them both and re-install. I'm thinking of giving her dual four barrels this time around though.

There is surface rust under the hood, on the frame, and basically on the entire undercarriage, incuding the suspension. I think I'm going to do a frame off. That way I can clean her up, paint her, and make her look real tight underneath.

Interior is pretty beat up. The front and rear seat frame are salvageable. I'll just rip everything out and start from scratch.

This is my Wall-O-Parts. Everything will be inventoried, cleaned up, and given a keep or no-keep tag. The rest I'll try to sell off.
I'll be updating with new pics as I progress through the restoration. There may be some large time gaps though. This will obviously proceed as money and time(wife and 6 month old) permit. I need to save for some major tools first! (compressor, MIG, etc.) I'm really prepared for this, right?
Thanks for checking us out!
