This is my 86 *2WD* s-10 blaze. shes got a 350 so it has a bit of jam. it has some rust around the rear wheels. its got some decent shape cragar SS 15" mags all around with 60's on the rear. its got a factory limited slip 3:73 rear end that i wanna replace with a posi.

Umm pretty much factory 350 rebuilt. its got a 4bbl 600cfm rochester quadrajet. its got a rebuilt TH-350 3 speed tranny.

The block is a '76 i believe and the heads are '68. Only mods are the highrise single plane aluminum manifold, and hedman hedders, and a corvette LT-1 radiator and cooling assembly.(the 2.8L v6 rad wasnt enough to keep it cool.)

Its a quick ride, i wanna throw some mods on it though.
1. body/paint
2. throw in a nice thick cam.
3. take it down a couple inches. not pimp style...but so i dont roll style. haha
4. im keeping it factory...leavin handles and roof rack...
5. i wanna drop a shift kit in it cuz i dont like the granny style column shifter.
6. i really would like to put in a 700r4 tranny in it...just for that extra cruising gear, she revs to high with the 3 speed wen u go down the highways, save me some gas money and knock up my top speed a bit.
7.port/polish heads.

Well, my engine you see, in total, including everything , cost me a lot of money haha. alit 2 grand. BUT, Ill tell you the important stuff and what it cost The intake $90 The cam/lifters $65 both at a swap meet at swap meets, you can also get heads, pistons, cranks, con rods, pushrods, anything for really effin cheap. My enging has EVERYTHING new except the heads and the valves. Right down the the bearings. It was bored, honed, line bored, balanced and blueprinted. It has HEI ignition, and a programming box. Basically, the 2 grand includes the engine, parts, machinening and labour to make a potent, high-rpm capable mill thats gentle on the street. but for about another $300, you can get your engine really powerful. you can do cam and intake and carb and port and polish your heads for $300. Its basically who you know and where you shop. and on my part, I found a shitload of good deals and I have a lot of connections and I do most of the work myself, so Ill have a restored, clean, streetable truck that runs around 13s in the quarter for 5 grand when done. Worth every penny haha.

Very good man. I take it that it's (she's?) a two wheel drive? We are pretty much thinking the same way when it comes to mods, I've got a '89 S15 pick-up. Nothing special yet. I'm going with a Vortec 4.3 and a 700R4 or 200R4 {4 power and gas mileage},drop it just a little [like maybe 2-3 inches], Nice rims (just got them), fix and paint the body, and redoing the interior with buckets and a consule. Nothing too radical just better. Best of luck with your's Later
