A hist�ria do VW Gol - The story of VW Gol
Em 1976, a VW Brasil, sob o comando do presidente Rudolf Leiding concede autoriza��o para que a equipe de projetos, chefiada pelo engenheiro iugoslavo Phillip Schmidt, inicie o desenvolvimento do "Projeto BX", para o lan�amento de um carro compacto com motor dianteiro refrigerado a ar, aproveitado do Fusca. Entre as premissas do projeto estava o baixo consumo de combust�vel. O projeto viria a ser chamado de : Gol (o nome Angra tamb�m chegou a ser cogitado, mas foi descartado por lembrar as usinas nucleares de Angra dos Reis, projeto pol�mico dos anos 70). In 1976, VW Brazil, under the command of president Rudolf Leiding grants permission for the project team, led by yugoslavian engineer Phillip Schmidt, start the development of "Project BX," for the launch of a compact car with front engine chilled the air, tapped the VW Beetle (here called Fusca). Among the assumptions of the project was the low fuel consumption. The project would be called: Gol (the name Angra also has been studied but was discarded by remembering the nuclear plants in Angra dos Reis (Rio de Janeiro), controversial project of 70s). Tamb�m tem rela��o com gol de futebol. O Gol � o ve�culo de maior sucesso no Brasil, ultrapassando o Fusca em n�mero de unidades produzidas. Atualmente � exportado para M�xico, Argentina, Uruguai, China e outros pa�ses. No M�xico, onde � o carro importado de maiores vendas daquele mercado, recebe o nome de Pointer (na Argentina tamb�m tem esse nome). Tamb�m � exportado para a R�ssia, apenas na vers�o 4 portas e com motor 1.0 8V com ABS e airbag duplo de s�rie. Tal como no Gol 1.6 vendido no mercado chin�s, possui possui inje��o eletr�nica Bosch ao inv�s da Magneti-Marelli usada nos Gol nacionais. The Gol is the vehicle for greater success in Brazil, surpassing VW Beetle in number of units produced. Today is exported to Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, China and other countries. In Mexico, where the car is imported from higher sales of that market, receives the name of Pointer (in Argentina also has that name). At� hoje me pergunto porque a primeira campanha de divulga��o do Gol tinha essa conota��o, texto em espanhol e a imagem de um toureiro. J� que � Gol o nome do carro, porque n�o ligar a imagem do carro ao futebol? Um fot�grafo amador conseguiu clicar uma unidade destinada a test-drive (conforme adesivos aplicados na lateral e traseira). Hoje (28/06) apareceram as primeiras fotos do interior da vers�o com motor 1.0, o modelo mais b�sico. Nota-se a aus�ncia de conta-giros e alguns �tens de acabamento mais refinados, mas a boa qualidade dos elementos pl�sticos, com encaixes perfeitos e sem rebarbas, p�de ser notado. J� surgiu uma proje��o de como poder� ser o Gol GTI. There was a projection of what may be the Gol GTI. Neste caso, a vers�o Turbo poderia utilizar o motor 1.8T de 150 cv. In this case, the Turbo version could use the 1,8 litre engine of 150 hp.
