TIME TUNNEL I
dubasan's 1998 Volkswagen GolHi, this I am. And this is the original appearance of my VW Gol. Repairs in the front grating, is well different of that I created and made. It also sees the height of the suspension. Ol�, este sou eu. E este � o visual original do meu VW Gol. Repare na grade dianteira, � bem diferente da que eu criei e fiz. In 30, October, 2005 I participated of a pulled out test of in the city of Franca/SP. I was the only competitor in my category therefore "I pulled" with the cars of the STTD-B category (cars with engines turbo 1,6 / 1,8 / 1,9 / 2,0 liter). In mine better pulled my time of track it was better that of my adversary (VW Passat 1980 1,8 turbo). I did not only gain this pulled out because the Passat burnt the jettison in 0,586 seconds (I still was stopped and it already with more than 1/2 car in my front -- I have the photo and official result of the Cronos to prove). Or either, the Passat 1,8 Turbo "was knocked down" by a VW Gol (or fox, as to prefer) 1,0 Turbo. E looks at that my car is of daily use, did not modify a regulation or any part and I did not remove nor the tire of the trunk. But the tires and mine were inferior to the ones of the Passat. Plus a detail to be computed it is that the other cars (for counting on catch-tank) walk approximately with 15 liters of fuel. I ran with the fuel tank full (not to occur no fuel lack and to always have the fuel line total irrigated), with alcohol until the pass (55 liters)! And this one all combustible generates extra weight. Em 30 de outubro de 2005 participei de uma prova de arrancada na cidade de Franca/SP. Fui o �nico competidor na minha categoria por isso "puxei" com os carros da categoria STTD-B. Na minha melhor puxada meu tempo de pista foi melhor que o de meu advers�rio (VW Passat 1980 1.8 turbo). Eu s� n�o ganhei esta arrancada porque o Passat queimou a largada em 0,586 segundos (eu ainda estava parado e ele j� com mais de 1/2 carro na minha frente -- tenho a foto e resultado oficial da Cronos para provar). Ou seja, o Passat 1.8 Turbo foi "ralado" por um Gol 1.0 Turbo. E olha que meu carro � de uso di�rio, n�o alterei uma regulagem ou qualquer pe�a e n�o retirei nem o pneu estepe do porta-malas. Apenas os pneus e os meus eram inferiores aos do Passat. Mais um detalhe para ser computado � que os outros carros (por contarem com catch-tank) andam com aproximadamente 15 litros de combust�vel e eu corri com o tanque de combust�vel cheio, com �lcool at� na boca (para n�o ocorrer nenhuma falta de combust�vel e ter sempre a linha de combust�vel totalmente irrigada)!! E este combust�vel todo gera peso extra.

Throughout its 145 years, of all the headings to define the history of Ribeir�o Preto, the only one that it remained was of "commercial polar region of the High Mogiana". Among others, the city already was known as "Capital of the Coffee", "Capital of the Culture", "Capital of the Chopp (beer)", "Capital of the Sugar and the Alcohol" and "Brazilian California". But the denominations had been if erasing with the modifications that the economic development dictated for the region. Ao longo de seus 145 anos, de todos os t�tulos para definir a hist�ria de Ribeir�o Preto, o �nico que permaneceu foi o de "p�lo comercial da Alta Mogiana". Entre outros, a cidade j� foi conhecida como "Capital do Caf�", "Capital da Cultura", "Capital do Chope", "Capital Sucro Alcooleira" e "Calif�rnia Brasileira". Mas as denomina��es foram se apagando com as modifica��es que o desenvolvimento econ�mico ditou para a regi�o. A popula��o, hoje, recha�a a fama de "Calif�rnia Brasileira", por causa do volume de migrantes que foram atra�dos pela cidade naquela �poca, seja para trabalhar com a cana-de-a��car, seja para a constru��o civil, que teve um "boom" de crescimento no mesmo per�odo. A renda per capita realmente era considerada uma das mais altas do Pa�s, impulsionando a cidade a ser um dos maiores centros comerciais do estado, com a constru��o de shoppings e o desenvolvimento do setor de servi�os. Segundo dados do IBGE, a for�a de consumo de Ribeir�o que tem 3 shoppings centers e cerca de 13 mil outros estabelecimentos comerciais, est� na popula��o "estrangeira". Mais da metade dos moradores do munic�pio, migraram de outras cidades. S�o, tamb�m, potenciais compradores os cerca de 150 mil representantes da popula��o flutuante que passa diariamente pela regi�o. Esse potencial de consumo representa hoje 49% da arrecada��o de ICMS, restando ao setor de servi�os 14%. O turismo de neg�cios tamb�m � uma das bombas propulsoras da economia local e vem incentivando a instala��o de grandes redes de hot�is, al�m de novos bares e restaurantes na cidade, movido por conven��es, semin�rios e encontros, principalmente ns �reas m�dico-odontol�gica e farmac�utica, das quais j� � considerado um novo p�lo fabricante de equipamentos, Ribeir�o Preto dever� receber nos pr�ximos anos um novo centro empresarial de conven��es. Outro setor que vem demonstrando um expressivo crescimento � o da constru��o civil, tanto pela alta da renda per capta, quanto pelo potencial de crescimento econ�mico. Dois pontos t�m sido fundamentais para promover essa nova explos�o da constru��o civil. O primeiro deles, ainda em propor��es t�midas, come�a a se apresentar na qualidade de associa��es e mesmo empresas ligadas ao setor agroindustrial, que t�m optado por transferir suas sedes da capital paulista para Ribeir�o Preto. O Segundo fator a impulsionar direta ou indiretamente a constru��o civil � o setor educacional. Se por um lado, o fluxo de estudantes de ensino m�dio e superior na cidade movimenta mercado de loca��o imobili�ria, por outro, a pr�pria constru��o de novas unidades educacionais tem feito com que o n�vel de empregos no setor cres�a acima da m�dia. Dessa maneira, Ribeir�o Preto vira o mil�nio desprovida de r�tulos e t�tulos que buscam denominar sua voca��o. Na bagagem, um consagrado potencial comercial, setores de servi�os e ind�stria em plena expans�o, al�m da tradicional for�a calcada na agricultura, que d� claros sinais de recupera��o. S�o produzidos na regi�o cerca de 80 milh�es de toneladas de cana-de-a��car, o que faz da regi�o, a maior produtora do mundo. � por causa da cana, tamb�m, que a regi�o pode voltar, nos pr�ximos anos, ao centro das decis�es econ�micas do Pa�s.
