this is my dad's truck. he bought it before i was born. its been an ongoing project. this truck is the reason i got into working on cars. i used to work with my dad when i was little and now i wanted to make this page to show off what has been done and to also let people see it take shape as i have. this truck was origianlly a 2 wheel drive that my dad converted to a 4 wheel drive. it has a slightly built 383 and a 727 trans. the rear end isa 4:10 possi. we changed out the front end for an open knockle style. we have a power brake and power steering setup to add and a 205 transfer case to replace the stock 201. if you can tell the front fenders were cut and welded to make room for bigger tires. the rear bumber was designed and built by my dad and his brother. this is a dash out of a 69 with custom wood work by my dad. i would like to replace it with diamond plate one day and add indeglo gages. we also installed a hurst promatic slap stick. this is the 383 that is currently in it. it runs strong. i do plan on either pulling it and building it or getting a 318 and building that. heres a side shot showing the edelbrock performer rpm intake and matching carb, 6" tall 14" dia. k&n stack filter and hooker headers.
