This is one of the ways to ID me, my back. This is half done, I started the bottom half and god knows when that will be done.
I was a competitor during 1988-1994 in both Car Audio Nationals 2 and IASCA/NACA. I mostly judge now, like the Finals for IASCA and some of the bigger shows like SBN or SVR. I also travel abroad to judge at the overseas IASCA shows in Colombia, Japan and Panama.
I also had a column in Car Stereo Review during the mid 90's that focused on competition.
I also wrote an article for Car Audio & Electronics Magazine recently:

This page is of my past car.
Here's a little article on it back when, along with others. Mine's half way "Harry Kimura's Acura Legend".

This car won 4 World Championships, in the Unlimited Power Class. It also won the 1993 Master's Invitational Tournament Best Of Show where I got a check for $8000. Nice but nothing compared to the $25000 check that was given out 2 years prior to that. The above photo is with some of the stuff showing. Behind that spare are 2 USD audio 15's in an Aperiodic box. There are 2 USD 10's in the rear deck behind those panels. The amps are Monster Alpine 3545's, 3 of em. Oh the left is the USD EQ/Xover with a custom radio control (for the 7909 inside) on it.

The above photo is with everything covered. The system was designed back in the day where stealth was the rule. It used only 10% of the trunk, that is a full size spare donut we machined out 3 inches out of to mount a spare tire on.

The above photo is the H/U, it was the ever competition popular Alpine 7909. The H/U was tapped into to get tracking and power switching off of the stock radio controls in the Legend.
You can also see the USD Waveguides under the dash, afterall this is a
Speaker Works car

Here is a shot of the car in it's last iteration with the 17 inch AZEV's with the painted inner rim and the mirrored plexi center cap. Note: the car is raised here because the new owners thought it was too low bahh, it was just right where we had it before.
As far as performance mods to this car, there really wasn't much done to it because back then in the 80's and early 90's there wasn't a whole lot out there for Japanese cars. I did have a custom Stainless exhaust made for it with a Walker muffler. It also had Tokico shocks and Eibach Springs with a couple coils cut. The picture above has untouched ST springs. The trunk-rear was shaved so there were no emblems on it.
This is how it sat when I had it, this photo is from IASCA finals 1993 in Tulsa.
