Hey:) Just like my friend Tom Looway (ex green 206, now white Renault Clio): I am just a student, I don't have a lot of money:)

This is my baby: Renault 4 GTi 'SHIFT', originaly R4 GTL...

It's red:) It's 7 cm lower and has R5 Alpina's rims...
Engine is 1103ccm, 4 cylinder with (only) 34 HP.
Shift's engine is a little bit tuned up: it has R5 Alpina's flywheel, exhaust collector, carburettor and cylinder head. I have modified Raid-HP DTM exhaust pot with some Sebring parts. Barely street legal or even NOT street legal:)
I'm still waiting for Sparco filter.. Doch!:)
I think that 50HP+ is quite realistic number... Top speed?? 155+ km/h :)
I'm planning to put a new engine inside in summer 2005.. Renault 5 Five Pluses engine: 1400 ccm, 75 HP, 5-speed transmition (I have 4 speeds now..). Sure, Pro-Speed exhaust pot and air filter won't miss:) I plan to do some other works too: repainting, car-tatoos, seats in artificial leather, GFK sound pannels in doors and in trunk, 1 KW amplifier for sub, 165/65/13 Toyo or Bridgestone tires (original: 135/70/13)...
But remember: I am a student (proud student of veterinarian sience - Vets drive like animals!), I have time but I don't have (lots of) money... So, if it won't happen' in 2005 it will in 2006:)

Inside I have Alpina's seats and music sistem: Coral Electronics & Becker tweeters, Dynaudio & Coral Electronics mid&bass, Alpine 3-way coax sistem, 3-way Fenner's passive pro sistem, Blaupunkt amp, 15inc bass reflex JBL subwoofer, Fenner active equalizer and Sony CD radio, Phonocar Connections cables.. And some neon sticks and spots... I have custom made 'Flinstones-style' bass-reflex tube for my JBL:) I've added a sport-style steering wheel and an "in-out" thermometer.
I won't tell what do the Japanese letters stand for:)

It's not just a car, it's a lifestyle! :)
I LOVE MY SHIFT!
