I got my Vig last August (about 10 months ago) when it had about 97.5k miles on it... so far I've put on about 15k.
I'm pretty proud of how the systems coming together (I got limited money, and I've done it all myself).
So far I got:
-Alpine CDA-9815 Headunit
-Clarion 5" LCD Screen (picked it up at Tweeter for $200)
-Playstation 2 (in trunk-- accessible through the back armrest)
-Kenwood eXcelon KFC-Xr61P 6 1/2" Component Speakers
powered by: Alpine MRP-T220 2 Channel amplifier
-2 12" Alpine Type R Subwoofers
powered by: Hifonics Brutus BX1000D amplifier
All running off of an Optima Red Top. I realize alot of people would say I should have gotten a Yellow Top, but after talking to the guys at the local car audio place, I found out the Red Top would start alot better in winter, and I'm planning now to either get a 1 or 2 farad capacitor or an isolator and a Yellow Top for the trunk (which would be sick).
I also got two switches behind the shifter-- the left one turns on and off the inverter in the trunk for the PS2 and the right one cuts the remote wire for the subs (saves power when I'm playing ps2 with the car off).
I also ripped up everything from the trunk and redid it... it came out pretty well, next step is to get some more carpet and plexiglass to put the amps on display.
What I'm planning on next for the system:
-Infinity Kappa 6x9 Speakers
-Additional 2 Channel Amp or 4 Channel Amp
-Optima Yellow Top for the trunk OR a very nice cap
--Using fibreglass in the trunk as well as possibly fibreglassing a new center console.
(PLEASE feel free to provide advice/criticism in the guestbook)
