John's 1990 Big Toy
Updated 4-24-2005
Recently came across a suzuki Samurai for 800 bucks, so i have been getting that thing trail ready so i can always have something to wheel with.

Put Some downey headers on the runner with a magnaflow muffler, sounds pretty bad ass, and it gave it a lot more power then i thought it would. I recently put on some 31s to see how much faster my truck was and i was really impressed.

I got my truck my sophomore year of highschool. I didnt have a job so i just spent the money on a sound system that i still have today. Recently I have been having trouble deciding if I wanted to SAS it. I came up on a suspension lift through my a mechanic friend for $300. Then got hooked up on a body lift. So far i have spent around $2000 on my truck(most of it was the tires. I got my truck stock with stock rims and tires, those where taken off almost imediately, and replaced with 31 inch BFG All-terrains, with some cheap chrome modulars. Then i went to work and took off the stupid mudflaps and painted my hood due to oxidation. I just finished the lift and got the tires in. I haven't seen any Toyota 4Runners the same year as mine with 38's so i thought i needed to do it to show how it is done. My truck is a work in progress, just like this site, im trying to work on my truck since i got a room full of things to put on it. You can email me at Skim1232@hotmail.com for any comments or questions. But here is a pic of what it looks like.

I just finished the lift and wanted to see what the clearance on the driveshaft was.

Here is a pic of what my truck just about looked like when i got it, except it had some racks and stock rims and mudflaps.

.
The mods i have done to the suspension are: 2 inch coil spacers in the rear, Sway away 25mm torsion bars cranked 2 inches, 5 inch superlift,3 inch body lift. I also tinted the windows 5% in the back and 20 in the front. Put a carbon fiber dash kit in it. K$N filter which i totaly recomend that thing is awesome, makes your truck sound beefer at high RPM's when you rev it. Clear corner and turning lights, with clear bulbs, hate it when people get clear lights and put the orange in it, it totaly kills it. Blacked the tail lights out myself for a dollar. Just recently put a billet grill in place of my spraypainted grill.
Here is my truck stock with 31's and clear corner lights and spraypainted grill. This was taken right before I started the lift.

Here is my truck with a 3 inch body lift and 2 inch daystar coil spacers in the rear. My truck is fitted with some used 33's, that i got for free.

WIth the help from my friend we finished the rear in 4 hours. Here is a pic of my truck with 33's and a 3 inch body lift, and 2 inch coils and 5 inch superlift in the rear.

Here are my new tires, Super Swamper Radial SSR's, 38x15.5r15, I am very stoked on them, aggressive tread, some big lugs on them. They are very quiet on the highway to my amazement. I think they will get a lot louder as they wear down.

I just found this old pic of my truck, the icicles on the grill is pretty sick. Can't wait till we go back up to the snow now so i can go romp around in it this time since my truck is a lot better and i fixed my 4wheel drive.

When I was a little younger, I was really into Motocross Racing (NESC, NEMA, NEMX & AMA) & Riding BMX (Street, Dirt Jumping, Skate Parks, a little Vert & I even did some of NBL BMX Racing). & that Cement Ramp you're showing all the clearance on, I wish that was near my house (I've lived on the town line of Ashland, MA & Holliston, MA since I was 5 years old, & I just turned 24 a couple weeks ago) if that was near my house, I would've been riding my BMX Bikes off of that thing, my Motocross Bikes would be going off that thing, I used to drive a Honda Del Sol & THAT thing would've gotten Airborne off of that thing...that's Awesome...
