This is an 88 Cimmaron. The car is essentially an over glorified cavalier... with all the frills of the caddy's of its time and the basic J car body. The motor is a 2.8 V6 and its a fwd car.

Ok... update as of 5/13. I replaced the O2 sensor it the caddy. and upon inspection of the suspension it has extremely soft springs and what seems like a million torsion bars on it. It is too funny. I thought they just badged the cavy with cadillac badges but i was mistaken. this car is every bit a caddy and only shares the platform and motor with the cavalier.

Cool Cimarron. It's nice to see someone note there are differences between Cimarron and other J cars. The Brougham is a stretched B body Caprice (GM's Best "full size" platform back then) and Cimarron was based on the J GM's best "compact" platform back then, if you ask me the car made perfect sense. Also all 4 door J cars are compacts not Sub unlike some of the bad info thats out there on these cars.

You fixed up your Cimarron much like I hope to do mine. I hope to cover up the small rear window to change the roof line a bit.

I want to put a Cadillac hood ornament on hood as you did. Please tell me how you did that? Did you leave the Cimarron emblem underneath, which is what I want to do?

Also, the grill looks custom, is it?

Take care,
enjoy that great looking Cadillac ride
