That 3/4 of the year had passed with me quite content with the mod that I have done and focusing on giving cars that challenge Baby a Flogging of their life!

I have since built up a fine list of cars that have been flogged and sent back for re-educating on why not to challenge big brother e38's.

Here is a picture of two gadgets that I use daily! The G TECH PRO COMPETITION is a very useful and fun meter. The other is the Bel Euro 550 which I find useful for lazer traps!

I felt that the standard 2.81 diff. was not sufficient enough to see off some of the faster lighter weight cars off the lights, so I phoned Uncle Blanton (Jim) accross the Occean in Kansas City to discuss Baby's need and found the 3.64 LS Diff. to be the one.
I have no picture of this right now.

Heres a reply to a request at the E38 section of Bimmerforums for more info. on the 3.64 LS Diff. in which I answer with pleasure!

========================================
The 3.64 LS Diff. was the the best bang for bucks upgrade for my e38 750il. It still gives you many a smiles/grins every time you use it!
Using my 2" gas pedal launch mode and then to the floor, I can now easily obtain sub 6's 0-60.

Launching off the line is clean and swift although one can make it wheel spin with a half pedal launch if desired!
I haven't yet had a car beat me on standing starts at present and I am very satisified with the 3.64 diff. It makes the e38 even more of a beast!

To see how effective my Baby Monster e38 is, this is a bit crazy, I jump into my wifes Lexus LS430 and using our hands free incar cellular tell her to waste me at the lights. And to instruct her to synchronise at the lights to be ready for a standing start and to commentate on what is happening between us! I then get to see what actually happens in real life when guys/gals get wasted! (like I did)

I get to feel the pace the 750il as it leaves me behind!

Even with this 3.64 ratio, cruising with the SPORTS MODE OFF on the highway is very comfortable. For example if I were to cruise at 100mph with the 750 with the SPORTS MODE ON, my revs would be approx. 3500rpm and hovering about in the POWER BAND. This is very nice for surprising contenders by rapidly gaining and passing them in no time!

When you switch the SPORTS MODE OFF at a cruising speed of 100mph, the revs will drop from the 3500rpm down to approx. 2500rpm. A big difference of a 1000 revs! This rev range difference will be less when you do less than 100mph. If I remember, smaller differences of say 500rpm.

This will make the car cruise very comfy when there are no contenders around.

I've had my diff. upgrade for about 5 months now and find no problems with it whatsoever. Actually, the only problem I have is wiping the grin off my face every time someone eats my dust!

I think I must have paid about $2600 approx. for my diff. maybe a little more.

Have a nice day to all!

No sooner had I put the phone down I was thinking if Baby was going to accelerate faster then are the stock brakes good enough to bite off speed?
I had always felt that the stocks are not quite up to it.
So I made another desperate long distant phone call to Brett at Koala to order a set of 355mm Big Brake Kit with steel hoses.

After bedding them in and testing them out on my contenders, they turned out to be more than sufficient. I was one happy chappy!

If I bring my "Monster" to the track, the only thing you'd see is the taillights of the R32 disappearing away quietly because people are admiring a well made luxury German BMW 7 series and not a turbo'd engine in a tin can!

You prattle on like a pre-pubescent 10-year old. Whoop de doo, your 400bhp V-12 land barge managed to stoplight race a $30k hatchback. You walk around here talking this smack like that's some kind of accomplishment. C'mon, besting a freakin CIVIC? An ACCORD?? 3-series BMW?? Why not pick on someone your own size, to wit: RS6, S600, A8 6.0. Unsafe drivers like you give real enthusiasts a bad name. If you bring your "monster" to the track, the only thing you'd see is the taillights of the R32 as it pulls away from you. Tool.
