dont forget to sign my guestbook.

I'm looking for a good set of tires that are also cheap. If anyone has had good experience with a certain tire, let me know. I'd like to run 33's but I might need to do some fender trimming. 31's fit for sure because im running 32's right now. If anyone has any ideas or comments, let me know either via email, or leave a message in my guest book. my email is skillitfan001@yahoo.com

BEFORE and AFTER

Hey ya all. This is my 87 Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT. Got it Jan of 04. This is my second vehicle. I used to have an old 82 Ford F150. Sold that because it was worn out.

My truck has about 144000 original miles on it. I've never had the motor out, but i have had the transmission out before to have it inspected. It has been making a sound it shouldn't make, and it bothers me. But it's made the sound since Januaray of 06 and at the time of this posting (May) it still makes it. About March I took the tranny out and hat it looked at. At the same time, I changed the clutch, pressure plate, and rear main seal on the motor.

If any one knows what the red mark at 55 mph is for, let me know. I've seen it on a lot of older trucks, but not any of the newer ones. I've always wondered what its for.

I am also a member of Capital City Crawlers. I joined earlier this year, so I'm still a newbie to the club. If you live in Missouri, check them out. They're based in Columbia, but they have members from St Louis all the way to Kansas City. We even have a memeber or two from Whitman Airforce Base.

The next few pages get into what mods I have put on, or made myself. Use the index above to find your way around. Thanks for visiting, and don't forget to sign my guestbook with any comments or suggestions of what I should do next.

Well I would have to say thats a nice and cleanly lifted ranger, albeit ford is not my most favorite brand (Jeep, of course) but that is a nice looking rig. On my suggestion for tires, if you dont mind the "road roar" Buckshot Maxxis Mudders or Dunlop Mud Rovers, 32"s or 31"s...

Nice Ranger the red mark and the square around the 55 is to make the 55 more noticeable, back when that truck was built 55 was the standard highway speed not 60 like now.

To convert a t-5 to 4wd I used a kit from advanced adapters witch cost over $800 and then I had to pay the trans shop $600 to install it because the entire trans has to be taken apart! As for the 8.8 swap that could easily be done in a day if you have the tools to cut the spring perches off the bottom and reweld them on top and do a littlt fab work. You will have to ajust your master cilinder to get any benefit from the disc brakes
