Here is my
1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport Fastback

This page will show pics of the car right after I bought it. Note the missing cap on the Cragar Mag. I like the period look of the Cragars, so they will stay.

Front view of the 72-only grill and bumber. They used this hood on the 73's too.

1972 Gran Torino Sport on Route 66!
One of my favorite pictures of my car.
They no longer allow traffic on this bridge. I hope they are not going to tear it down.

Closeup of the lousy paint job. NEVER use urethane (did I spell that right??) unless you plan on having it done by a pro! I like that emblem, though!. When I first got the car there was just a strange looking hole next to the lock. Took me a while to figure out what went there! Part of the fun of working on an old car is the research that goes into the process.

I had this grill emblem rechromed with a new insert.

Check out the Sport instrument cluster!
The Grant steering wheel went to the wayside after I found a good horn pad for the stock one.

Shot of the back seat. Check out the side pannel. Sucks, huh? someone used cheap paint to try to cover up the Ivy Gold interior.

Same pannel with leather stretched over it. The front pannel is getting the same treatment.

Sport door panels and pulls! Came stock with the console too!. The inserts in the seats is dark green with black leather trim. I had already replaced the console lid and arm rests in this pic.

351 Cleveland!
Tranny is the FMX auto.
Edelbrock 4V manifold with a 750 Holley. I have sinse changed out the stock point dizzy. Any one else get real good at setting points in their day?? (showing my age here, I hope)
More to come! I want to take pics of the Clarion head unit that I custom installed.
In my search, I have come across lots of parts. If anyone is looking for something, let me know!
