Yet another, home driveway creation...
I bought this '78 Silver Anniversary Edition vette, as a total loss, from the original owner. It was perfect for what I had in my sick mind to do to it . It had been hit from behind by a pickup truck and driven up under a stationwagon.

I made two s/s 'saddle' gas tanks to use up the 'empty' space inside those huge rear fender flairs.

I cut the 'peaks' off the top of the fenders to give this vette a wider, 'chopped top' appearance

I took the 'whale tail' and widened it to completly run from fender to fender so the lines would 'flow ' better..., and installed Dodge OMNI 024 tail lights, upside down to turn up into the whale tail.

Notice the tow hitch in the photos above? I used this vette to flat tow my '66 vette to and from the track.

By cutting the center tag area out of the grill, along with the pancaked fender peaks, it helped to give this vette a much broader appearance. The 6 headlights didn't hurt either!

Interior of 'Corvex-1' with my little shop's name, Corvette Excellence, embroidered on the seats.
First show once done, Eckler's Corvette Reunion, 1983. Blew them away to see what I had done with their body parts.

Drove back to Georges' Corvette Shop in Maryland, (where I first learned to do glass work), to show off my latest creation. We had a photo op as his wagon and an employees were pulled out.

My old home where I grew up in Hilcrest Heights, Md., as a teen.

I sold my wagon while I was building my new home back in 1989, to my good friend Mike Dean. He is currently rebuilding it into a BLOWN, Big Block tubbed street mauler. Can't wait to see my old ride back on the streets around here. Thanks, Mike for keeping my dream alive.
Here's Jerry & Sandy's '77 'XTCVETTE' I built and painted in their home garage, as a 'PAYBACK' for all the times he has helped me work on my '66. Thanks, Jerry!
