this was my 90 eclipse. i bought it in febuary 28, 04. the car i wanted it to be a show and go car. the way it looks now is the way i bought it for $1800. the engine has been swaped for a 94 4g37 from the original 4g37 motor.
Here is a rear shot and a front shot
AS soon as i can get everything running right and debts paid off.I will be getting a stock gsx kit on it. It will be painted Pitch Black. everything cosmetic will be done. the spoiler has been removed.
well its time for some progress,i have the time to fix all the engine misshaps, the body has been repaired, new paint for sure thou it maybe going to be red (R22 mitsubishi factory paint) newer 92 front bumper 92 fenders 92 dohc hood, rear bumper rear hatch, dash ,rebuilt cylinder head, new water pump, lights fogs, ive spent a quite a bit of dough lately and ive done something dramitc to the body for once, thou the engine was fine it just needed a new head gasket like i thought, the old head gasket had blown on the 1,2&4 cylinders, i bought another spare head and put it on, the new water pump works great, the body has been painted black primer for now. the whole project will look alot better than the old set up, there is no more red& white paint scheme anymore so that makes me a hell of alot happier.
this is what it looks like as of 4/26/2006
well im just not having any luck with the felpro head gaskets
ive gone through more of them then thought, i believe that for the 1.8l motor there just not worth what they should be. so here i am again replacing the head gasket for the 12th time in two years. so ive decide to go with a higher grade head gasket that costs about 50 dollars and that is made in japan. especially for the 1.8 that is closly to the oem
while im waiting for the cylinder head to come back from the shop i decided to try a head light restore kit
just got everything back together and running better than new, only problem is my spedo does not work right!!
just replace the remain seal, cam shaft seal, valve cover seal. crankshaft gear, and the throw out bearing.
heres a couple shots at a park near me
