On this page: Recent images of my 2004 Pontiac GTO coupe, converted to a LHD Holden Monaro. This GTO was purchased new in September, 2004 from Piehler Pontiac, in Webster, NY.

This is my daily driver and commuter car, and as such doesn't hide from rain, salt, slush...

As of now, the car's 99% completed the process of a Monaro conversion.  I call it "boomerang" (Boom for short) because it came back after a bad time, and of course it's Australian.

Here it is freshly home:

Anyhow, the push to do the conversion came from this little "incident" on 8/29/06:

I was running to a call, and it had been raining - which was probably too much for the stock tires after 22K miles worth of wear. Needless to say, the car handled the wet poorly and I tagged the guardrail on the highway. The car never stopped running, and the airbags didn't go off.

Here it is as it looked this summer - I deleted the spoiler permanently as I'm short (I admit it), and I hated how it blocked the rear view:

And here's what it's all come to so far (dyno'd 8/13/06):
* 327 RWHP @ 5500 rpm
* 338 ft-lbs @ 4600 rpm
* AFR: 13.2:1
(run at 81 degrees / 29.60 in-Hg / 34% humidity)

As of yet, it's not a drag-track car, so I can't tell you what it'll do. Aside from that, I have autocrossed it (and it's not fast on tight courses).

As a bit if self-promotion, as it were, I also submitted the car for "Street Heat" in GM High Tech Performance
