I AM ON A MISSION FROM COOPERS

I am well known for not doing things that are classified as normal, and i reckon this effort is well up there as one of my more unusual ideas.

On my last birthday i managed to talk a barman into giving me a coopers ale bar runner. I have put this in the back of my torrie, secured under speaker covers and hanging over edge of seat. I am collecting coopers ale screw cap lids, from my own drinking sessions and my local pub is keeping them for me also.
The colours I have got so far are:
red : sparkling ale
green : pale ale
blue : light
yellow : stout
brown : dark ale

i reckon I am 1/2 way there with the collection. I will hold these down with some clear perspex secured with velcro to parcel shelf, to keep the men and ladies in blue off my back. I have had a few comments about it being dangerous if i had an accident they could fly around. If I have an accident the caps will b the least of my worries, I would probably wish to b dead if 'Ruby' ever got dented.
So i started washing caps as they do smell of beer, especially sitting on parcel shelf in sun. Pics of project

okay the mission has started, i decided not to go the perspex cover, at $70 i thought it a bit rich for the novelty. i instead am sticking them down with glue. i have bought a replacement parcel shelf board from the wreckers and put it in shed for when the novelty wears off.
i thought i had at least 1/2 the caps i needed, but as u will c by pics i was way off. in the 2nd last pic u will c that the caps reflect in rear window, this is a wicked effect when u look in rear view mirror.

Almost finished 30th May 2004
