zzealous’s 1978 Datsun 280Z

Well...I decided my other projects and hobbies deserved a little recognition as well, so I made a special page just for them. I dont have many pictures right now but I will take some more soon.My '02 Yamaha TTR125L...it has a few goodies:-BBR exhaust-BBR air filter (cut out air box)-Bigger idle and main jet to accomodate for more air flow-BBR engine cradle-BBR Chain guard-O-ring chain-Bark busters-Dunlop tiresI'm sort of growing out of this bike but its still fun to ride.My parents bought this 1976 Sea Ray SRV 193 back in the late 70's, we last took it out as a family 6 years ago...it has a GM 250 straight 6 engine with 165 horses, not too fast but it does what it needs to...Since I turned 16 I decided I would go and bring it home. Well,I got together with Scott and David who are 2 guys in my town that have 280z's as well. Welcome to my page for my 1978 Datsun 280z. I have done quite a few things to this car since I purchased it from the original owner in April of 2004. Check out the details on the rest of my pages.Here is the car in its current state (5/3/05) Here is a before and after shot of my new wheels--5 hours of work per wheel, but it was worth it!...before ...afterHere are a few pics that I took right after I brougt the car home...The passenger side is a little dinged up from where the original owner scraped it along the side of a garage door and ripped off the body trim...I'll fix it some day...Due to my parents rules, I have to install a mirror on the passenger side of my car...so i bought this set from Motorsport.I just installed the headers and exhaust, here are a few pics of the car in the air. When i got this car, it had this disgusting rotting carpet that smelled awful...I had to replace it so I did...After about 10 hours and 4 razor blade cuts...i got all the new carpet in...it looks, smells, and feels amazing compared to that old stuff. The old carpet was disgusting, rotting, and brown...here are a few picsyardsale!Datsun logo keychain!So I have finally finished the seats and I'm about to start converting the inteirior to all black due to the response in my poll (plus I got all the plastic pieces from a junkyard for $30 haha) I will put pics up soon.Page one: ExteriorPage two: InteriorPage three: Enginepage four: Friends carspage five: Other projects/hobbies

So, its November 22nd and over the past two days, I have pulled a 5 speed out of a car in a junkyard, taken out my old 4 speed, installed the 5 speed in my car...ya a lot of work but its worth it, I'll get pictures up soon (new factory 5 speed emblem and 5 speed shift knob too!)I recently purchased a few things from motorsport auto including the following:-*MSA 3-2 headers-*Motorsport turbo exhaust-*Cold air intake with K&N filter-*60mm throttle body-*Crane PS-40 high performance coil-*Taylor Hi-Pro spark plugs-blue :)-*SplitFire dual tip spark plugsCheck this out....I was browsing through the datsun parts on ebay and I came across someone that took a picture of my car to use for selling a K&N filter...my car is famous nowI've gotten in the coil, plug wires and plugs and put them on...here are some pics...I have finished installing the new headers and exhaust, it sounds pretty good...really loud haha..but here are a couple pics. This is what the engine looks like with the intake and exhaust manifold removed, I can still see some factory Nissan engine block paint! Here are some pics of the intake manifold and old headers. This is the new set of headers from MSA.Here is the new exhaust. Here is the new 60mm throttle body which I should put on here pretty soon.
