Well, let me share some of the modifications that have been made on the inside!

Although it may not look like it at first glance, there are quite a few slight improvements on the inside! (at least I think they're improvements!)

First, something small - Tweeters?

Yes, those are just tweeters! But they weren't there originally. Bought them off eBay and they install in minutes. The wiring is already there, and they just snap in place where the old molding used to be. Improvements? I guess! Brings the music up from you feet to you ears. Big difference! I'm still watching for those tweater that the Outback Limited has on the rear pillars.

I also installed a factory Sub that installs under the drivers seat. I took a picture, but it didn't turn out. I'll have to do it again. It's not a high performing Sub, but it does add a little to the low end without breaking the bank.

Instrument Cluster & Dash
Although I apologize for the picture details, you can see some changes to the instrument cluster. The backlighting has been changed from the original green to red. Also, I installed a brushed aluminum bezel around the gauges. I actually like it allot!

I really wish I could get the camera to stop making the backlighting go yellowish. It's actually a pretty decent red all over, but the picture makes it look red and yellow. I also changed the bulbs for new ones, 194's instead of 158's which a slightly brighter and new 74's. The end result is that you can see the red even in the daylight! Oh, and yes I need to get rid of the check engine lamp! It's nothing serious, just need the time to take it in!

Center Console - Radio, Gauges, and HVAC
My stock radio kicked the can unfortunately so I bought the Panasonic CQ-C8300U. I'm pleased with the choice, did some research first. Play's mp3 disks, gives good control over the sound it's 7 band EQ and has all the pre-amp outputs I need for future upgrades (like a decent sub in the back). Unfortunately for my work, I use the car allot and so I can't sacrifice any cargo space. Plan to do something under the rear deck eventually.

I've also installed a single DIN 3 gauge POD for 2 1/16" gauges. The POD took a little creativity to install, and when I added the gauges I had to cut the bezel a bit to make it fit. But the end result is good (I think!). I also had to install a pot to control the brightness of the gauges at night.

I chose Autometer's C2 line up. Those are the ones that glow cobalt blue in the dark! I've got one for system Voltage, the second is an Air/Fuel Ratio, and the third addition is a Boost/Vacuum gauge. Not that I have boost on a N/A gauge, but the vacuum indication is good for gauging (pardon the pun) fuel economy.

I also changed out my bezels to Woodgrain trim instead of the all grey that came with the car. I got them out of an Outback Limited and like the effect! I had originally bought a JDM radio Bezel which is all Woodgrain, but it looked silly with the grey ashtray and so I sold it on eBay. And of course, the HVAC backlights are red now.
