Well, she has been locked up for the winter now and until I get her completely done. She is going under for a complete rebuild of everything!
This is my baby! My dad bought it in 83'. After babying it with him, he gave me this 1983 Z28 for my 16th birthday. Since the day I got it, I have been spending the past 6 years working on it. All my money goes into this car. It was all stock before I got it. The original paint job was a stock chevy red with silver ground effects. I got it painted by my body shop guy. It is now PPG Torch red with PPG corvette silver racing stripes and ground effects. I have a hyper clear coat from Dupont cause my sister works there. I got a harwood 4" fiberglass hood which my body shop put on for me. This thing is only 33lbs! Underneath the hood is a 5" X-Stream air intake system from K&N. I also just installed a Corvette aluminum racing radiator cause I blew a hole in my old one! My racing buddies and I FINISHED THE 383 STROKER crate engine from GM peformance. We changed the cam, intake manifold, springs and adding demon 750 carb, torque headers, and finishing an MSD ingition. New pulleys from March and a 200amp alternator for my custom audio, but haven't gotten to the video yet. Custom t-56 transmission from Richmond (w/ first three gears being for the strip, and then three lower gear ratios for highway and a custom Ford 9-in rearend from Moser Engineering 3.57 rear. I have a NOS fogger system with a 10-lb carbon-fiber bottle sitting in the shop now. I have all the new gauges, purge values, electric bottle opener, heater, and hardware ready. It is all ready to be installed when we drop the engine. The chasis is strengthened with subframe connectors and waiting on the 4 or 6 point roll cage. Custom interior will be the next project after the rear wheels are tubed out for some fat meats to hold the power to the ground. We are estimating about 460 hp and 500ft torque without nitrous. Nitrous will add anywhere from 50-300hp, but we will just set it at 125hp. All the windows are tinted at 15% and the front is 35% which is all illegal and I have been yelled at by cops a couple of times, but it looks good, so screw them! I also put on AVS rear black outs. Some punk broke my left one a couple of weeks ago, so I have GTS ones coming in soon. I got the GTS ones and they look gay, so I re-ordered AVS ones! Now I lost the other one so it is back to stock and I still haven't returned the other ones. I put dimond cut Matrix 4"X6" headlights in with ultra White bulbs also from matrix which are bright, but if anyone knows better bulbs leave me a message in my guestbook please! I had to completely rewire my headlights because I was pulling too much power through the relay and it really didn't like that. I also have street glow red underbody lights. My transforming blew on the underbody, and I'm too lazy to do anything about it. Don't have time to fuck around with the damn warranty. I'm probaby just going to go buy those new led underbodies. Here are my beautiful 17" rims from centerline. I didn't want to go to getto, but the stock aluminum rims had to go! I just wanted something flashy, and still traditional 5 spoke. These sparkle in the sun beautifully! I got 255/40ZR in the front and 275/40ZR in the rear. I have the old ones in anyone wants to buy them off of me. They are in great condition, that is why my dad is mad that I bought these new ones. They have all the caps and tires are still on them. I got a custom decal on the windshield from Extreme Racing.
