This is no doubt the best handling car, or should I say the wildest, funniest auto I have ever driven.

When I saw her, I knew I had to have her. Its the org 911. NO AWD, ABS, or traction control. Just the flat six sitting on top of the rear axle, with rear wheel drive of course making it one of the few rear engine, rear drive autos out there. 34343434's 1985 Porsche 911 Do not compare the carrera with mid mounted engines. Donot mistake my tone, I love mid engine cars, they are the best handling cars ever made. But they donot compare to the fun and difficulty of learning a tail happy 911. 34343434's 1985 Porsche 911
AS far as mods, my intentions were to buy a 911, add rsr bummpers, strip out the interior for wieght, add wheels, headers. But after finding such a cherry example of 85 german tech. I going to keep it mostly stock, and enjoy it for what it is. Ive decide to go with SSI heat exchange (headers) instead of racing headers. More practical and keeps the org. of the car, while adding hp and sound. Also a dual sport exhaust will be directly connected while bypassing the cats. A chip and minor intake upgrade with the intensions of keeping it look stock, increasing performance and sound. The SSI and exhaust is ordered and it is hand made for the 911, it is a work of art, It should be installed in a few weeks, along with a chip.
IM keeping the wheels, thier in perfect condition, and I love the org. fuch wheels on a grand prix white car, classic look, dating back to the first carrera and rs. I will put a detachable momo steering wheel in the car for track and backroads, keeping the org. porsche four spoke on a adapter for show. Im torn on the seats, they are white pearl, elec, and heated, in great condition, at first I wanted black recaros, but Im leaning towards keeping the stok seats in. The white leater keeps cooler in the texas summer? My goal is to keep this car a fine example of a 911 carrera, while adding 50-70 hp and bringing out the note from the engine a few db.
I purchased the Porsche 911 three weeks after I returned to the states. I spent 12 months in the sunni triangle of Iraq with 3-67 AR, 4th ID.
I was a platoon leader in charge of 4 tanks, and the tank commander of my own. The 911 is my tribute to the men and women who died 0n 9 11 and during operation Iraq Freedom. I went to basic training on OCT 15 of 2001, just over a month after the attack. I wanted to do my part. After basic I went to OCS. Anyway I wanted a car that would represent the last few years of my life, and I wanted a porsche. 34343434's 1985 Porsche 911 34343434's 1985 Porsche 911
I looked at the boxster, the 964, the 933, the 968. I also looked at the honda s2000 and audi tt (225), but when it came down to being honest with myself, it was a aircooled 911. I leaned more towards the pre 73 models, untill I drove the Carrera, I would have liked a sc as well, but I found this grand prix white, 62,000 mile carrera in mint condition (no oil leaks, track time, mods, etc...) in austin TX. So I finally bought my dream car.

Dear Fellow 911'er, circumstances beyond my control obliged me to delete my Porsche 911 ride page, (964C4) with its text, photos and Cardomain.com merits and medallions. If by chance you have some time please come by. Perhaps the new ride page will be of interest, colour wise its different, maybe we should go into the repainting business, thanks, Marc.....
