DIY Reset Your Sun/Moon Roof
The reason you would want/need to reset your sun/moon roof is that your sun/moon roof is malfunctioning and does not open or close fully. If you press and hold your sun/moon roof buttons too long, sometimes your sun/moon roof cpu gets "confused" as to where the open and close points are located. And as such, the sun/moon roof just barely moves. It doesn't move. It nudges. This is not all that common. It's more common with 02-03 and 03-04 models. '04+ models come with a different sun/moon roof assembly, and don't share this problem. If you have '02-'03 or '03-'04 sunroof and jamming is common, there is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) which your dealership should replace your sun/moon roof assembly with the newer/better sun/moon roof assembly.
