Heres the shark. The new setup needs to be tuned soon and then I'm going to move on to other parts of the car. Other parts of the car, that Im considering is; two tone interior; window tint; big brake system; and audio.
03/29/08 Engine is back in the vehicle!. Took it out for the last week (when I could) and put about 100km on her. Still in the process of breaking in the engine so Im only rollin into the throttle (not mashing) and only going half throttle. Will do this for another 200ish km. Then the engine gets its first oil change (5w30 Real Oil). Followed by 200 more kms of rolling to full throttle, and another oil change after that. Then @ 1500km the engine oil with get swapped for Royal Purple Synthetic Oil.

Updated pics will follow as soon as I can take some.
02/25/08 Finally. The engine is done! Over the next couple of days the new engine will be installed. Some other stuff has been added since the engine started its build up. Heres the entire list being installed;
Engine
-------
Ross Racing Pistons (8.8:1)
Total Seal Rings
4340 H-Beam rods
King Bearings
1mm Over Stainless Steel Valves
Competition Valve Springs
Reground Cams
Adjustable Cam Gears
Other
-------
Clutchmaters Stage IV Clutch
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
DC Sports cermanic coated, equal length headers
SFR 5-speed LSD
Heres a pic of the block, Other Pics soon to follow,

07/08/07 I have received the NGM Rotating Assembly. This Contains;
Ross Racing Pistons (8.8:1)
Total Seal Rings
4340 H-Beam rods
King Bearings
Some other performance parts I ordered were;
1mm Over Stainless Steel Valves
Competition Valve Springs
The engine is at the local machine shop getting built. Crankshaft is already forged steel. It is getting balanced with the new assembly.
The heads are getting cut to fit the bigger valves. A polish job will also be done.
On Friday (6th), I sent my cams off to get reground. They are going from .316 lift to .338 lift. Duration is getting changed from 192 to 202. These changes, with the extra airflow of the bigger valves should really help this engine breathe and really increase hp.
Also I received enough extra crap (oil pump,o-rings,seals,gaskets) to rebuild the spare block to a full race engine.
While the engines are being swapped, the SPR 5speed LSD will be installed.
01/27/07 Received the stock heads and block. There really was only 1000 miles on it. The block shows no piston wear at all. The block is going to be stripped, bored and honed for forged rods and pistons. The heads will be flowed, stainless steal valves with competition springs will be installed. The stock cams will be sent off to crower to be reground.
01/08/07 Bought a stock short block with only 1,000 miles on it! It will make a perfect project engine. Now I can still drive my car til I get this engine ready.
01/06/07 It's a New Year! With a new year comes a new plan. The new plan consists of lowering the PSI to about 5-6psi on a built engine with crower cams. I have the cams (yet to be sent to crower for regrinding), and the heads are on the way (valve assembly to be upgraded). A short block coming soon!

08/10/04 DIY-Complete LED Conversion FINISHED; I've finished the "DIY-Complete LED Conversion" on Page 3 which shows how to convert the stock interior orange lights to blue (Interior pics below). I've converted the HVAC dials, the AC, Air Recycle, Rear windows defrost, fog light, and windows control buttons. I Also changed the trunk, glove box and both door lights to blue LED's. Also, I show how to make clear door lense replacements for your stock red lenses using a normal florescent lense cover that can be bought at any Home Depot.
These directions are for 2003+ Tiburons but some info could be used on all 12v systems (any car). How to get the bulbs out would be different. But changing of the bulbs to LEDs would be pretty much the same. The Resistor values would be the same as well. How the dials come off, how switches come apart, how the door skins come off and those switches come apart would be different. This is all speculation, because I haven't had any car other than a '03 Tiburon apart to do this type of mod. If you use these directions on a different car, do at your own risk! Actually, even if you do it on a 2003+ Tiburon, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK! :)
