Polished Intake Manifold Installation
I wanted to complete the polished aluminum look so I learned how to use power tools to polish. Took me 10hrs total time, learning what grits to use, grinder finesse, etc. I used an OBDII manifold and ground off some of the mounting support for OBDII gear.
People will recommend removing the intake manifold off as a whole, unbolting the bottom plenum to remove the upper.
I simply needed to remove the upper portion but the studs on the block and on the lower portion keep you from removing just the top alone.
The answer is to simply take the 2 studs out of the bottom plenum (PB Blaster and vice grips). (I was going to back them out w/ easy-outs but Kyle, aka Gritt, suggested this 1st). Smarter, not harder... The studs on the block can be removed in the same fashion.
I did remove the 3 bolts on the bottom plenum which gave it a lot of free play to remove the top. (No need if you remove the studs from the block)
The polished OBDII manifold had a lot of built-up crud so I took paint remover and applied liberally:

Laugh it up guys, it ain't easy being short, at least I don't have fat fingers!!!
