Introduction

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Honda Insight its definitely not a muscle car. The "game" and bragging rights are related to MPG. With the following mod and driving in the high MPG style you can achieve ultimate high MPG.

As pictured above Lifetime MPG over the last 28k miles in all conditions is 70.0 and climbing.

UPDATE: 11/08 LMPG is now 70.5 and holding @ 115K miles. IMA battery ageing was contributing to more forced charging and subsequent lower MPG. The IMA batteries have been replaced under Honda's extended warranty.

My peak is 99.4 MPG on my routine commute ~25 miles @ 55 MPH tops. And my best tank average remains at 78.8 MPG.

Calculated average MPH (total time including stops / distance) = 43 MPH.
Yup, I could have gone faster, but not at this MPG!
Anyways not much faster due to traffic.
