Hello, I am back with new pictures of my RX-7 project! Hey hey, it is finally done!!! After 2 1/2 years I have to say that I am very glad how it turned out. Thanks Mazda for making one beautiful car. I tried to make the car as stock as I possibly could to show the original beauty of it. THIS WAS VERY DIFFICULT FINDING THE RIGHT PARTS! Parts came from all over the USA and the world!

HERE IS MY RX-7 WITH MY BIKE AND NEW MITSUBISHI!!
I love Mazdas. I cannot quite describe why, but I guess it has something to do with how different they are. Back in 1978 this car was built by Toyo Kogyo a family-owned company that named it's cars after an ancient god....Mazda. The engine was different from any other at the time. It was a rotary wankel-engine. It had no valves, lifters, cams, pistons, etc. EVERY SINGLE car company in the world tried to perfect this engine and everyone failed except Mazda. Mazda's 47-man team perfected and built the engine that the world failed at. Some say that this strenth and devotion was to save their company from corporate buy-out. Some say that it was to prove their worth in the auto industry. I say, that the following is the reason for their passion... It was only a decade and a half since the atomic bombing of their home town, Hiroshima, that Mazda started work on the rotary engine. Eighty percent of their workforce was killed or wounded. Their city was destroyed. Everything they knew was gone. The Mazda factory survived the blast and sheltered many survivors until many of them later died from cancer and radiation. Although necessary from some viewpoints, that bombing was the single most destructive and murderous moment in human history. As the years progressed Hiroshima became known as the "bomb town." MacArthur made illegal the manufacture of four-wheel vehicles at Mazda. They (and their city) was in a horrible state of bankrupcy and distain. Then in the early 1960's Mazda was given an oppurtunity to change things. They bet all their money and tasks on a single objective--the rotary engine. It was like betting on a horse that died last week. Somehow they succeded where everyone failed. Their town soon became self-supporting again and economically fueled by Mazda. Hiroshima was no longer a dark "bomb-town" but a place of hope and change. They achieved this by never failing their families, city, or country. They restored their honor so important to the Japanese. This RX-7 was the pinnacle of their efforts. The first mass-production Mazda fitted only for a rotary engine. I hope they would be proud of the work my father and I have done on their car...

I did not make this picture. I found it on the internet years ago. It appears that someone out their shares my idea and passion for the 47-people at Mazda who gave all they could for everything they lost. This picture is worth a 1,000 words.
(I cannot remember where I found this photo. If it is copywrited then I apologize. I am putting it here as a good gesture!!)
One cannot imagine the time I (we, my father and I) have had rebuilding this car. YOU JUST CANNOT IMAGINE ALL THE STUFF THAT NEEDED WORKED ON!
Well, check back soon. New images coming!
This is how we found the car. Under a tree dying
What a mess! If it does not look that bad to you...it had dirty secrets hiding underneith!

My Saturn SL

My new 1990 Mitsubishi Mighty Max. What an awesome little truck. The perfect example of 1980's Japanese engineering! The link will take you there! (Updated 11-23-06!!!)
Nagoya Nightmare

This is my 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic. It may just be an 800, but the Cobra Drag pipes make it sound great!!! The 1500cc was just too expensive!
