here's my 1995 ford contour. Its basicly bone stock on the outside and inside. I got the car pretty cheap because it needed a trans. lucky me, my dad works on transmissions for a living so it only cost me about $300 to fix and some hours pulling out and rebuilding the trans. the only mods I've done to it was my system. which I have 2 12inch MA audio XE being powered by a MA HC2501 amp at 1ohm 750 watt RMS. The subs where in a prefab box when i got them sounded good but wasn't loud enough. so I made my own box for half the price on the prefab, plus it pounds a lot harder its 2.25cf for each sub tuned to 40Hz hopefully that would put me in the 135-140DB range. I've replaced the stock 6 x 8 with pioneer 5 x 7 coaxials. my HU is an old piece of junk kenwood cd player KDC-3011. hopefully I'll have it replace with a new pioneer DEH-P6600 soon!

sorry for the bad pictures my Digital cam sucks and the sun was casing shadows every where

Hey man, im lovin the MA Subs. Well, as an answer to your questions, i got the box into the back with a lot of hard room. First, i took out the front passenger seat, and realized i didnt have room. I took out the center box between my seats, and finally, removed my sun roof. That gave me just enough space to get it in. I would of built it inside, but i didnt want to screw anything up. As far as the rating on those subs goes, trust me, i know. :) I love it , they rate at 700max but you can push about 1500max and not have any problems. My ports on the top actually arent ports, just ventilaiton, they are getting fans to keep it cool. Im putting a port across the bottom so my it faces between my front seats. I dont know what amp to get, i was thinkin something 2000rms, but maybe more. Ill keep checkin with you and your car. Thanks man.
