Originally an SS350 TH350, this Chevelle now holds a '72 402 rat motor in it. Options include PS, PDB, A/C, tilt, buckets, console, SS package with F-41 suspension. It is painted the original Code 65 Orange Flame color.
I found this car on eBay in Feb '04. It was lady-owned for the last 21 years, and she was the 2nd owner. I've talked to the original owner as well. I've got 2 build sheets to document everything, too.
This is a stripe-delete car. It originally came with a black vinyl top, which was removed when it was painted in '89.
The personalized plate "72Crush" has replaced the standard plate.
I have all 5 original SS wheels.
The name says it all.
If you don't understand the plate, you're either too young or too old. :>)
The 402 only had a couple thousand miles on it when I bought the car. It runs strong, and with the 2.73 stock posi gears, it will cruise 75mph down the freeway at only 2500 rpm. Amazingly, it gets 16mpg. (This is an old picture from before I owned it, and has the incorrect grille moldings and lenses.)
The interior has been re-done, and is in beautiful shape.
