News:

I traded a longblock I had for a 43,000 mile T5 from a '93 Mustang Cobra (1352-218) , a Centerforce clutch, and a Pro-5.0 shifter. This trans is the strongest one ever put in a fox body Mustang. It has the roller pocket bearing and phosphate coated gears. They're rated at 310 ft/lbs. I also have a Steeda double hook quadrant and firewall adjuster waiting to get put in.

I finally did a couple of mods to the motor. So far all this car has had was driveline mods so the next logical step was to start on the motor. I picked up and have now installed a Cobra intake, Professional Products 65mm throttle body, and the stock intake tubes for a 89-93 MAF Mustang to replace the Home Depot pieces I was using. It definitely made a difference in power that I can feel. Ford Muscle magazine did an article about installing a cobra intake on an otherwise stock 5.0, and it picked up 17hp at the rear wheels. The ports on the cobra intake are much larger than a HO intake so it's no suprise there's a difference even if the E7 heads are still a restriction.

I also installed a new set of Gabriel Ultra shocks and struts. They were badly needed, you could take the old original ones and push them in with one finger and they would just stay there lol.

Took the LSC to a good spot to get nice pics of the new tires today. A buddy of mine brought along his Cougar to get some new pics since he hadn't taken any in a while. It's a pretty cool car though. It has the 4.6 V8, a Marauder torque converter, Mark VIII transmission, aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 t-lok, exhaust, etc.

I sold the Rodlites today after replacing one because of warpage. Lightweight racing wheels aren't made to take the abuse of daily driving. I think my next wheels will be a set of 96-97 Cobra wheels. For now I'm getting a set of Kumho Solus KR21 235/60-16s put on my GKN turbines.

Got a BBK off road h-pipe and put it on. Then I took it to the exhaust shop cause the mid pipes needed to be bigger. I just got it back and it sounds suhweeet! Here's a link to the exhaust vid.

Went and took some nice pics of the LSC and posted them up.

Got the car back from the painter, and it's looking slick. Pics in a day or two.

Dropped the Mark off at the body shop for damage repair, and a complete repaint. :)

Moron friend backed into my passenger door and rear quarter pulling out of the garage yesterday. Merry Christmas indeed. It is under his insurance, but I'm gonna save and get the whole car repainted :P

The Ford Racing Trak-lok is in. No more peg leg!

10/14/07
Added an oil pressure gauge, did the MAF conversion, got a new license plate frame from speedysigns.com, a pearl shift knob from flameball.com, replaced a couple decals underhood with new ones from 5.0 Resto, put on a Lincoln emblem horn button for the Grant wheel, and there's a Ford Racing Trak-lok awaiting install.

09/17/07
The interior is pretty much done now, I got the car back from the upholsterer. It also has a Grant Challenger steering wheel, a voltmeter, and a signature series suede dashmat. The Mark also has a catback exhaust with 2.5" pipe and magnaflow mufflers.

The Thunderbird has been sold and all of the cash from the sale is going into the LSC. I've decided since the Mark VII is a fox body, 5.0 HO, and it's a 5 speed, it now has greater potential than my MN-12.

The back seat is at the upholsterer, and the rest is going in Tuesday. I can't wait to see the results!
The LSC is now sitting on Weld rodlites. 15x7 in front and 15x8 in rear. The tires are BFG Radial T/As 215/70-15 in front and 255/60-15 in rear. They look amazing! I think this may be the first Mark VII with rodlites.

The front wheels did not directly bolt on. They were slightly rubbing on the brake caliper bolt heads. A small amount of grinding on the bolt heads gave enough clearance.

It's finally riding on new rear bags from Arnott now.

I also picked up a K&N filter, voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, and gauge cups.

I've started two toning the interior. I found a 88 LSC in the junk yard with a nice burgundy interior so I decided to use some of the good parts from it in mine.
05/18/07
Washed the LSC and drove it out to the lock and dam for some new pics

The 5 speed swap is nearly complete! It is driving and shifting well. I just have some final touches with the shifter plate and clutch adjustment and it should be done!

05/08/07
Block plate arrived in the mail today.

05/05/07
I have started the T5 swap! The mark now has 5 speed pedals and a clutch cable.

05/01/07
I traded a couple of Flowmaster 40s for a 5.0 T5 Bellhousing. All I lack now is the clutch parts and a T5 block plate.

04/28/07
Got a little more done to the Mark. It now has a new door lock actuator and bracket. I was able to use the keyless entry for the first time today! The entire sound system has also been replaced with a factory JBL system. A few more parts for the T5 swap have been sourced as well.

Very clean Mark!!! Best one I've seen in a while! Always loved the Mark VII's. I was a Lincoln tech when they were new, and used to take extended test drives after service! You've really done yours nicely!
