I`m from South Africa and i picked up this Mustang(which is very rare on this part of the globe)5years ago,for R10,000.I`ve spent about R90,000 on it in restoration costs.I had to import all the spares from America at R6.50 to the dollar. The restoration process is finished, just some minor cosmetics to be done. The paintwork is Mid chrome.
We have a Mustang club here and have regular meetings and outings.
My new wing that i fitted recently.Cost me a lot of money, because i had to import it from U S of A.
I fitted bigger(wyder) tyres at the back 225/15/60 and 205/15/60 in front.
A pic of the engine..i replaced the original fan with two electric ones..covered the opening with a polished stainless steel plate..made the running horse out of brass and stuck it onto the polished plate with pratley putty....i also had the stabiliser plates and radiator brackets chromed and replaced the points and condensor with an `Ignitor`electronic ignition....and fitted a 40Kv chrome coil...
I replaced the old red plugwires with yellow Mallory,8mm ones...
From another angle.....
This running horse wingnut keep my aircleaner in place...
New interior
i had the USA flag in the back(behind back seat..thought it would suit the image of the car..is American after all....
these are the latest interior pix...
