Last Update: 8/4/2008

Sad news everyone. After an uphill battle maintaining the blazer, I've finally had to throw in the towel. At the end of my spring semester this year, I blew out ring gear and pinion driving to school. The shattering of my pinion caused my 2nd and OD gears to go in my transmission as well. So $1500 later, and MANY, MANY, MANY hours of labor, thank God I have mechanics for friends, we had fixed all this. However, the rebuilt transmission continues to leak, I have an oil from the rear main seal, a random power steering leak and intermittent coolant leak. This is on top of my interior getting busted up after having my stereo jacked 7 months ago. So, with a heavy heart, I've given my blazer to my father to work on and limp along to work for the next couple years. Last weekend I bought a brand new Mazdaspeed 3! I love my blazer and have had some great memories in it. I hope all blazer, and car owners in general, have as much fun in their rides as I have had in mine. Thanks for all the support.

James

IMPORTANT!: Hey, so it seems I can't sign other people's guest books any more. If you have a question, just email me and I'd be happy to answer your question. My email is: killerkat013@hotmail.com. ttyl

Update (Finally!) 6/27/06: So it's been a while since I've updated my page. I've done some minor things, but nothing major. I painted my intake black, sanded and repainted my trailer hitch, painted my bow tie black, painted my axle black, covered my skid plate and tow hooks with black rubber, and installed a tachometer. I reinstalled my front clear corners with amber bulbs and an amber reflector on the bumper. The reflector does two things: 1) Keeps cops from pulling me over (so far), and 2) covers up the scratch wher I rubbed my bumper against my house ;). Also, I broke my anti-sway bar (again), so I had to have the tab re-welded. While I had my sway bar off, I painted it and the sway bar lowering brackets black and installed all new polyurithane bushings in the endlinks and sway bar brackets. Everything else is working fine. I hope to be buying a new cd player soon because my Audiobahn is toast. Finally, I've switched to Royal Purple synthetic oil. Holy crap, that stuff is amazing. Since I've been using it, I've honestly increased my gas mileage about 1 to 2 mpg! No bullshit! Well, ttyl.

Quick Update: Hey, so my catylic converter went out on me. I got it replaced today with a Magnaflow after market cat. Wow, not only does my blazer run smoother, but it actaully sounds a lot better. So that means I have a magnaflow cat and muffler with custom piping from the Y pipe back. I'll try to get some pics. ttyl

Update: Well, I've decided not to sell my blazer...yet, anyways. I do, however, still need to replace the 3 ball joints that have blown out on my front end, and then replace the bushings in my leaf springs. I finally got my sway bar fixed which I will have pictures soon. Also, my blazer started spewing a ton of coolant somewhere behind the engine. Where ever it was coming from, I couldn't see it...I feared it might be a main seal leak or something. But I put in some anti-leak stuff, changed my thermostat to a 180 degree, and replaced my radiator cap with a 13 lbs. one. Well, it worked, no more leaking, so hopefully if any other blazer owner has this problem, that little bit of info will help. Also, I finally got pulled over for my lights. I no longer have my rear clears, front clear corners, and I have huge mudflaps on. Stupid high way patrol. Anyways, here's a few pictures. ttyl.
