Sometimes I go to a park and turn the car off to save gas. I also turn the key to ACC to save battery juice as we all do. But when you turn the key to ACC, the windows and Moon Roof have a timer that gives you a window of 30 secs to a minute to use your windows or Moon Roof. But who chills for 30 secs to a minute? So I decided to make the Moon Roof operable at any time.

pythonjosh's 1999 Toyota Solara Now this is quick and simple. OK, on the panel with the fuse box under the knee panel, there is a plug in the upper middle with a couple thick blue wires. One solid blue, one blue w/ white stripe. The blue w/ white stripe is always hot, man did that confuse the #ell outta me! But the solid blue is the one that operates the switch. Cut that wire and take the end that's connected to the plug and put a butt connector or anyting to keep it from grounding out and blowing a fuse. The other end of the blue wire is the one we need. Conneect or splice that wire with an always hot wire. I used the same wire I use for my Under Dash Neons. It comes straight from the battery and it has a fuse. I wouldn't connect it to the blue w/ white stripe wire just because that's used for the same device and it might blow a fuse. But that's just from my own knowledge. It might possibly work for you, and if not, all you'll have to replace a fuse. Maybe I should have tried that one first, but here's what I did. I will do the same for the windows sometime soon, but I'll wait till it starts to piss me off first.

Absolutely SICK lighting mods. You're damn good with car electronics, at least next to someone liek me who's relatively clueless. -chris
