This is my 81 Mustang Ghia hatchback. I just bought it a few months ago, and the previous owner put about $3,000 into the motor. It's only a 4 banger, but it has some power compared to other ones. Right now, its pushing about 140hp(as I was told by the seller), usually stock they have about 90. Some of the major parts and work done are as follows: a Dynomax superturbo exhaust system, new block/ cams/cylinders, all new suspension, 2 electric fans, rebuilt tranny, rebuilt carb. It also has a Pioneer head unit, two Pioneer 6 by 9's in the back and 2 Profile 6 1/2's in the front. I plan on getting it painted all black, getting a better tip on my exhaust, possibly out the back of the car. I am getting new tires this weekend, and it painted at the end of this month. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to boost my horsepower on a 4 cylinder. I know it is rare, but I have heard of some people doing it. I really want to drop a 5.0 in it, I just have to find one somewhere. I need to get a T-5 tranny if I get a 5.0 so If anyone has any ideas. let me know.
