This is my Jeep when I first bought it. Its a 93 Jeep YJ with a 2.5L having 105,000kms on it. It was my first vehicle and a perfect buy for the summer. When buying it I had no intentions of leaving it stock.
The first thing to take care of was the soft top. The soft top works great, but not for the wet winters that we have in Vancouver. A hard top was needed. I ended finding a top that was white so I gave it a coat of black bedliner spray paint (looks pretty good) and some red hard doors which i eventually painted myself as well. The doors don't look perfect, but $60 compared to $350 looks pretty good to me.
Currently I am attending university, but when I get home for the summer I have a 3" Rough Country Lift, a 3" Trail Master Body lift, 15x10 Rock Crawler Chrome Spoked wheels, and 4 33x12.50 ProComp MudTerrains sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. I bought the lifts and wheels off EBay and had them mailed to a friend just below the Washington/BC boarder. Anyways, drove down for a weekend (to evade revenue canda) and picked them all up. Thanks to Bush, the US dollar was really low, so with shipping included I saved about $1000 Candain doing it this way. Also, another great save was that PrComp was doing their buy 3 get the 4th free deal, so I was quick to jump on that. Altogether I saved about $1500 peicing things together. The only thing I have to pay for now is getting a shop to install the body lift (around $300) because I don't personally own the equipment to get the tub off the frame.
I will take some better pictures during the install and afterwards, so come back and check it out mid way through May.
