Memorial to the Ugly Truck.

This is Ugly Truck. 4000 lbs of muscle under all that ugly. I had it for 7 years and it never failed or broke where I couldnt get home with it. It was a lot of fun, and was an amazing jumper for having stock suspension under it.No. 95
Day one.
Brought home a nice, 1986 Dodge Power Ram 2500 4X4 to replace my 73 I lost last year.
The 86 is a good runner, but it needs some work and some definite changes. First positive though, its NOT a chevy....lalalala.
Day Two

First things first, sweep the foot of snow off the ladder rack.
Wow, I think the truck came up an inch. After that, I removed the ladder rack, and the top boxes. The Lunch box body is going to have to stay put until I can get a welder and build a flatbed for it. I wasnt sure about flatties, but my 73 had one, and I got sold on the fact that it would eat small cars, the occasional tree and rock, and never whine or whimper. The added bonus of so much free wheel clearance in ack was a bonus, too.
It came with a snow plow, but the only thing I can see when I see snow plows is frame damage. I suppose I could use it for one heck of an e-brake if Im wheeling, but I dont wnat it either. That goes into the parts for sale bin for sure.
Got the plow off and no frame damage or cracking and I think the truck has come up another half an inch. Its got about a four inch stack of springs in the back, so its nosed down a bit yet.

It spent the next couple of days in the garage while I was checking it over and reparing minor things like lights and just getting to know the truck...lol.
