Headers

Here are some pictures of the construction of the headers. More will be added as things progress.
This is what you start with. A box of J bends and a pair of header flanges. This is going to be a Tri Y setup. Or as close as I can make it given the tight space. The primary and secondary pipes are 1 1/2". The two 1 1/2" secondary pipes merge into the 2" dual exhaust.

This worked out pretty good. But I didn't use it.

This is for #4 cylinder(left). Then with the piece added for #2 cylinder.

Here are the finished headers. I painted them with some PM Industries ceramic coating. The close header is buffed, the other is not...yet.

Dave your project is an inspiration. After reading your pages, I butchered mine up for the 351W I had sitting around.

hey nice ride man, me and my dad were thinkinking of doing a v-6 swap instead of a v-8 because of the same reason, gas mileage. which v-6 would you recommend? which has better gas mileage? which has the best horsepower for its size, gas mileage, and weight? sorry about all the questions, its just im an aspiring master technician and i thought a little more knowledge wouldn't hurt. please write back to me on my page. under revline_volvo or the chalupa.
