UPDATE: Aug 16/09 I have finally taken some up to date pics, alot has changed and I have tried to describe all of it. The Suspension has definately gone up a few notches, this is not your average Pro Touring Car with Big wheels and Brakes, I have replaced every part of the Suspension with Race Quality Parts. Alot are Full Race parts not used on the Street very often. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Pro Touring : 1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe

This is my 1969 Chevelle that started out as a 6cyl/2spd no optioned car. It was my $800.00 winter beater for 6 years so it was in very rough shape. This is the first car that I purchased, in 1989. I have done most of the work myself with help from Dad & friends. The car now has a 355 roller motor,350 turbo,12 bolt w/ Wilwood 4whl discs & 18 & 20" American Racing Hopsters. The car handles and rides awesome with the Adjustable Road Racing Suspension. There is a Gen IV Vintage Air and a Pioneer DVD/Nav, Full Stereo and Custom One-Off Interior. It took 9 years to get the car together and painted, but it was not finished. Every winter I add more to the car that I could not afford the first time around. I have added just about everything power option there is. The car has won numerous awards at car & sound shows.

Here are some new pics of the new ride height with all of my Adjustable Suspension parts installed, it is very low.  Drivetrain is a 355 - Dart Pro 1s, Comp Solid Roller/350 turbo - Neal Chance 3000 stall w/12 bolt , Moser Axels & Cover w/3:73 posi. Fully Adjustable Road Race Suspension with Wilwood 6-piston 13" Brakes. Steering is a 12:1 High Effort Box w/ Nascar Billet Pitman Arm, Centerlink, Idler & Tie Rods. Both Upper & Lower Control Arms are Fully Adj for Caster & Camber with no Shims. Double Adj QA1 Coilovers w/550lbs springs work with the DSE Splined Sway Bar for an amazing Front End. The Rear is also Double Adj Control Arms with Heim Ends(No Bushings) with QA1 Adj Shocks.

Side: The door handles, marker lights, bumper bolts, trunk lock, firewall & the inner wheelwells have been shaved. Just about everything on the body has been replaced. The doors, roof and the firewall are the only original panels left. Most of the panels are southern US or new. The fibreglass hood is a 4" Outlaw Cowl from Harwood w/ Custom Gas Strut Hinges of my own design. The front & rear bumpers have been fully customized by me. All of the Windows are Power as are the Mirrors. The paint is GM Med. Saphire Blue.

 Front View:

All of the grill & trim are new and painted body colour. The bumper has 2 - 3 1/2"Driving lights sunk into it. Aluminum mesh now covers the openings & a Custom Sheetmetal Spoiler w/ Adj Struts to set the Angle. The signals have been moved to the lower edge of the bumper and LED 1157 Bulbs, you can see them in the one pic. I also added new Clear Glass Headlights with H4 w/full HID conversion. There is also a Vintage Air Condensor and a Polished Oil cooler mounted in front of the rad w/ A/N & braided lines. The car is very low and has a 1 1/4" Splined Sway Bar on the front w/Double Adj QA1 Coilovers and Fully Adjustable SPC Control arms. All of the Suspension is Heim Ends except the Ball Joints which at the Nascar Low Friction versions and all bushings are Polyurethane from Energy Suspension.

Rear: I finally got around to customizing the rear bumper. I recessed the SS Chrome Tips up into the bumper and shaved the bumper bolts. It really cleans up the back of the car. The rear has a third brake light recessed into the rear panel. The rear talights are now full LEDs, and 1156 LEDS for the backup lights. The gas tank is baffeled to control the gas and keep it in the sump & has Stainless Straps. The #8 A-N braided hose feeds the Aeromotive 100 micron filter, Edelbrock 160gph pump and there is a full return system to keep the pump and the fuel cooler. There are custom lowering coils w/fully adjustable Jack screws. The Control Arms(uppers & lowers) are also Double Adjustable w/ QA1 heim ends and a 1" sway bar w/custom mounts and QA1 adjustable shocks. All body mounts are Polyurethane from Energy Suspension.

Wheels & Tires: American Racing Hopster 18x8" w/245/40/18 BFG KDWs on the front. The Front brakes are Wilwood 13" Drilled 2-piece Rotors and 6-Piston Calipers with Braided Flex Lines. Hopsters 20x11" w/265/30/20 BFG KDWs on the rear. Rear Discs are Trans Am and have Drilled Rotors with performance pads and will soon be matching Wilwoods. I am also considering a awap to a Ford 9" Rearend.

The new motor is working awesome and I will get some shots of the car soon. My Dad was right behind me in his S10, so I walked back to get the pic.(25-07-04)

t69chevelle's 1969 Chevrolet ChevelleDon't forget to sign my guestbook or to check out my 69 Nova. Now in my Garage.

The sexiest '69 I've ever seen! Pro-touring is definitely the best look for a muscle car. Really love that color and no-chrome look. Those rims also compliment the car as well for that fast, yet subtle look. I love it, man. Hope you have a lot of fun with it. 5 stars and a favorite for sure!
