ok, this engine is a L28 with the flat top pistons, P90 head. it was goin to be in the 240z. but one of the pistons, number 5 had 10psi of compression. i though it was the head gasket, we replace the head gasket, when i did the compression, test the same results, 10psi of pressure. the problem was the piston rings. with no time to rebuilt, i used a original L20 turbo block from japan. is not even a L24. that i bought for $300 like tree years ago i used it with headers, and a single carb manifold, five speed tranny, from the black 78 280z that u see here and a stage 3 tree racing clutch the 240z runs great to be a L20 or 2.0 its fast.
The 78 280z is soon to be a V8 the donor is a 1985 pontiac firebird i think is a 350 tuneport with the 700 auto transmission it has the shiftkit.
