Engine Paint...

Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe

Most engine parts like my valve cover and heat shield are easily removed and painted. To paint my intake manifold this is what I did:
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe First the manifold is cleaned and taped. TB cable and brackets are removed. Drop cloths cover anything I don't want paint on.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe First misting of paint.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe After a few coats of paint.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe The tape is removed from the manifold decal. I used a sharpie marker (paint leaves brush strokes) to fill in all the nicks and chips in the decal. I actually covered the entire black area of the decal with a layer of "sharpie black". Isopropal alcohol is used to remove any mistakes. A clear coat for cover.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe 2nd clear coat.

Tape and dropcloth removed. brackets painted, clearcoated, and reinstalled. With the deep shine the final product looks great!
