This is my CarDomain Page for my Probe GT, cousin to the MX6. The GTs came equipt with the F2T engine, a 2.2L 12valve I4Turbo. The stock output of this engine is 145hp and 190ft~lbs at the wheels which is 180hp and 240ft~lbs at the flywheel. Mazda Motor Manufacturing built the Probe for Ford Motor Co. along side with the MX6.

My Probe GT was manufactured on 2/14/1989, Valentine's Day!

I've done a few mods and I'm always adding more. Be sure to sign my guestbook when you're done and I hope you enjoy!

Sorry, I've been off for a while. I've been in Paramedic Class and I just bought my first home. I still have the Probe and come July it will reside in my garage as my project car (my daily driver is a Blazer now). I have plenty left to do to the PGT and now that I don't drive it every day I can do some more extensive projects...stay tuned!

This is the current look of the exterior, pretty much stock except the RX7 wheels.

Turbogt22's 1989 Ford ProbeNow, she should be running low 14's stock turbo/motor @ 16psi. Possibly even high 13's with some traction.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe~LOWERING SPRINGS~ This is my car lowered about 1" front on a set of '93PGT springs. You can see that the wheel gaps are nice and even. I did this to help keep the weight over the driving wheels. As a bonus the springs are stiffer and still work well with the 3way adjustable suspension.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe On the left is the stock spring and the right is the '93PGT spring. Difference in height is about 1 1/4". The background is uneven because the car was on jackstands when I took this picture. BTW, only the '93-'95PGT springs will lower a first gen Probe or MX6. The '96+ are actually taller.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe~POLISHED PARKING LENSES~ The stock clear parking lights have a tendancy to turn yellow as these cars age. Some sandpaper, polishing coumpound, and a little time makes them as clear as new. I finished these off with clear bulbs since I didn't like seeing the orange bulbs through the clear lenses.
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe~DRIVING LIGHT MOD~ This is something that only Probe owners seem to notice. The factory foglights normally only come on with the headlights. When I was installing my guages, I took some time to rewire the fogs so they can be switched on with the parking lights instead. Factory switch function is still the same. This is great in very foggy or snowy weather, I can see the road instead of the fog/snow. It's also cool for driving around in the twilight hours and keeping the aerodynamics!
Turbogt22's 1989 Ford Probe~13lb RX7 rims~ These are 13.8lb rims off of a '93 RX7. They are 16"x8". I've mounted Kuma Ecsta 712's 225/50 16's on them. They provide excellent traction.
